Job Title: Environmental / Regulatory Technician II

Location: Lagos

Main Functions

  • Inspection, basic maintenance and testing of multimedia (air, water and solid) portable environmental monitoring equipment used in an oil complex including stack monitoring equipment, PID, FID analyzers, etc., maintaining inventory of spares for these equipment, record keeping of all related items managed by the environmental team. Environmental and regulatory technical support.

Tasks and Responsibilities
In addition to the Level 1 tasks and responsibilities, a Level 2:

  • Assist Senior Environment Engineer and Environment Engineers in their activities for routine environmental monitoring and environmental data collection.
  • Any other environment related activities assigned by the Sr. Environment Engineer and/or Environment Engineer.

Specific Requirements

  • University Bachelor of Engineering/Science Degree, preferably in Environmental, Chemical or Petroleum.
  • A higher degree in Environmental Engineering/Management would be an added advantage
  • 5+ years relevant oil & gas industry experience.
  • Certifications in ISO14001, NEBOSH etc would be an added advantage.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Environmental or Natural Sciences, Natural Resource Management or with Technical, Science, Environmental Science, Technology (AS or BS) or related discipline, is preferred but not mandatory and technical field related to SSHE management
  • Understand basic industry project construction principles and techniques (upstream petroleum industry preferred)
  • Candidates should have good interpersonal skills, some supervisory/organizational talents, and proven ability to work in a positive team manner, hardworking attitude / commitment towards achieving project objective,
  • Self-confidence to instruct contractors/project workers regarding regulatory compliance and Safety, Health
  • Environment and Security (SHE&S) performance/ implementation requirements
  • Fluent (at a technical level) in the predominant in-country language(s); familiarity with English is desirable

Job Title: Payables Coordinator III – Lagps

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • Responsible for the processing, tracking, verification, and payment of vendor invoices in accordance with standard controls and procedures.
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of invoices in accordance with Company’s policies and procedures.
  • This includes rate verification of applicable invoices, ensuring proper DOAG approvals are obtained, proper date stamps and coding are used and researching vendor inquiries.

Tasks and Responsibilities
In addition to all Level 1 and 2 tasks, Level 3:

  • Maintain a good communication with Payables globally for clearing any issues related to wrong payment details, re-billing, invoice errors and payment delays.
  • Help to ensure that the Vendors are paid in a timely manner and according to agreed terms.
  • Investigate vendor’s requests and/or questions by checking back-up files.
  • Monitor controls over Vendor Master.
  • Collecting bank details, vendor classification, and law endorsements for Vendor registration

Job Title: Safety Advisor II 

Location: Offshore, Lagos
Employment Type: Contract

Main Functions

  • Provides safety / health support to the site leadership team and the Engineering, Procurement, and
  • Construction (Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) ) Contractor’s organization. In some cases, responsibilities may extend to other Safety, Security, Health, and Environmental (Safety, Security, Health, and
  • Environment (SSHE) ) issues, status, and metrics.

Tasks and Responsibilities
In addition to all Level 1 tasks and responsibilities, Level 2:

  • Provide ongoing support to proponent organizations to assist them in implementing the Safety
  • Management System and in meeting safety objectives and expectations.
  • This support includes: assisting Business Lines in developing safety processes related to risk assessment and management, safety training, asset integrity, safe operations, contractor safety, emergency preparedness, incident investigations, etc.
  • Conduct field inspections of onshore and offshore oil/gas facilities, project construction sites, drilling rigs, and support facilities such office buildings, warehouses, and communities. This includes working with BL to identify safety concerns, formulate solutions, and develop practical and cost-effective corrective actions.
  • Participate in various safety studies/activities, such as: PHAs, HAZOPs, JSAs, incident investigations, compliance reviews, or insurance surveys.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
  • Demonstrated work experience in construction safety-related positions (including some prior oil & gas experience)
  • In depth knowledge of security processes and procedures

Job Title: Operations Advisor III – QIT

Location: Offshore, Akwa Ibom
Employment Type: Contract

Main Functions

  • Take observations of marine mammals and other protected species during survey operations.
  • Document observation effort, sightings or acoustic detections in Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC) or other approved format.
  • Monitor permit or other environmental restrictions and call for shutdown of survey operations when limiting conditions are reached.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for verifying that vendors and their subcontractors adhere to permit requirements, project plans, and industry standards.
  • Responsible for communicating technical, operational and SSH&E concerns and issues to Company Lead QC to ensure project proceeds according to Company standards.
  • Responsible for monitoring the occurrence and location of protected species relative to the field equipment and coordinating with vendor personnel whilst in the work area.
  • Responsible for oversight of vendors’ operations and collection of effort and protected species or other observational data and reports.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Interested candidates should possess a B.Sc Degree with 9+ years of experience.
  • Completion of recognized PSO training course appropriate to observational equipment proposed, species expected and jurisdiction of the work site. (Absent of other guidance, PSOs should be trained in accordance with latest published JNCC standards. In the event that passive acoustic monitoring is proposed, PAM operators shall have attended a recognized training course for the equipment and software used and at least one shall hold a bachelor’s or higher degree in bioacoustics or related science.)
  • Field experience as a PSO; company experience preferred.
  • Experience in the collection of environmental samples and data, with knowledge of sampling, testing, and classification techniques, industry SSH&E standards, environmental sampling equipment, operations, company reporting requirements, and an awareness of company operation integrity management system (oi) procedures.
  • Must be well versed in SSH&E practices and processes for field operations.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, possess high level of integrity, and willingness to build trust and accountability in interpersonal relationships while working in team setting.
  • Must be fluent in both written and spoken English.
  • Must be proficient in current communication mediums and technologies (i.e., Microsoft Office, telecommunications, email, meetings).
  • Must be in good physical condition and shall comply with all project health and safety requirements (including any vendor, vessel or country-specific certifications required to work offshore).

  • Supervises a team of electrical engineers who design, develop, and test all aspects of electrical components, equipment, and machinery.
