Seven-Up Bottling Company Limited is one of the largest manufacturing companies in Nigeria, producing and distributing some of the nation’s most- loved beverages in the country like; Pepsi, 7Up, Mirinda, Teem, Mountain Dew, H2oH!, Lipton Ice Tea and Aquafina premium drinking water. SBC has recently entered into Home & Personal Care category with the 2SURE brand and launched its first product, a Hand & Surface Sanitizer. Seven Up boasts of nine bottling plants with state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities strategically located across various regions in the country.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Maintenance Team Lead (Boiler)

Location: Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day operation of boilers (Both Gas Fired & Waste Heat Recovery) to ensure uninterrupted steam generation as per the plant requirements.
  • Monitor the boiler parameters and should be able to analyse the data recorded by the operator. Should be able to diagnose and carry out the troubleshooting of Boiler issues.
  • Ensure all operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Maintain accurate logs of fuel consumption (Diesel), water treatment, and emissions.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical spares
  • Supervise boiler water treatment, chemical dosing, and blowdown practices.
  • Supervise boiler operators across shifts. Provide on-the-job training and competency development for operating staff.
  • Take an active role in coordinating with the Utility / Power House team in the operation of Boiler & arresting of Steam leakages
  • Maintenance & troubleshooting of the Water Treatment Plant.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Should be a graduate mechanical engineer.
  • Valid Boiler Operation Engineer Certificate approved by the Director of Factories, Nigeria.
  • Proven supervisory or shift-in-charge experience in Boiler Operation & Power Plant for at least 3 years.

Job Title: Supply Planner

Location: Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Determine and supervise production requirements based on plant capacity and production specifications weekly, monthly and yearly.
  • Responsible for translation of demand to production; determine materials and manpower required to complete production.
  • Manage demand and supply of full goods, Identify delays and changes in plans, and adjust production/ supply plan accordingly.
  • Monitor production status and ensure timely delivery.
  • Assist in production risk assessment and mitigation activities.
  • Assess and manage all full goods on a daily basis and assist team members to manage all production schedules.
  • Manage an efficient inventory level of all safety stock and review all volume requirements for all production materials.
  • Prepare budget and oversee expenditures of full goods
  • Determine, monitor and manage planned versus actual sales plan.
  • Monitor the notification of “Phase in, phase out” process of products.
  • Responsible for all full goods

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree. Preferably in a numerical field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ cognate experience, preferably within the FMCG industry is a MUST
  • Intermediate to Expert level proficiency in the Microsoft Suite, especially Excel.

Job Title: Database Administrator

Location: Nigeria

Job Brief

  • The Database Administrator’s role is to design, install, monitor, maintain, and performance-tune production databases while ensuring high levels of data availability.
  • This individual is also responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing database policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of databases and their accompanying software.

Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning:

  • Assess and develop long-term strategic goals for production databases in conjunction with data owners and department managers.
  • Work with application development staff to develop database architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies and procedures.
  • Design and implement redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery and data archiving to ensure effective protection and integrity of data assets.

Acquisition & Deployment:

  • Conduct research and make recommendations on database products, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.

Operational Management:

  • Create models and relational entity diagrams for new database development and/or changes to existing ones.
  • Install and configure relevant network components to ensure database access as well as database consistency and integrity.
  • Respond to and resolve database access and performance issues.
  • Monitor database system details within the database, including stored procedures and execution time, and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Monitor, optimize, and allocate physical data storage for database systems.
  • Plan and coordinate data migrations between systems.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to databases.
  • Create, or support the creation of, required reports in response to business user needs.
  • Perform database transaction and security audits.
  • Establish appropriate end-user database access control levels.
  • Develop routines for end users to facilitate best practices in database use.
  • Manage and/or guide junior members of the team.
  • Understand the needs and requirements of the applications using the databases and provide support for these applications.
  • Coordinate multiple applications accessing the same database.
  • Write and debug lines of SQL code for application development.

Position Requirements
Formal Education & Certification:

  • Candidates should possess a Higher National Diploma (HND) or University Degree in the field of Computer Science or Engineering with a minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience as a DBA.
  • Certifications in Database Management and/or Administration from Microsoft or Oracle are required.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
  • Working technical experience with designing, building, installing, configuring, and supporting database servers, including Microsoft SQL Servers 2008 to 2022, MySQL, Postgres, and SAP HANA Database.
  • Hands-on database tuning and troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience with data processing flowcharting techniques.
  • Project management experience.
  • SQL Scripting experience.
  • Programming skills are nice to have.
  • Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
