Job Title: Audit Director

Location: Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities: 

  • Help lead the Audit service line alongside the other Audit Partners, including developing and implementing audit strategies, overseeing the planning and execution of audits and ensuring compliance with audit standards and regulations.
  • Manage multiple engagements, oversee engagement status, and ensure maintenance of milestones of all projects
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing strong relationship and providing expert advice on all audit related matters.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the Firm’s audit services, developing proposals and marketing strategies to win new business and grow the firm’s client base
  • Ensure strict adherence to necessary professional and auditing standards
  • Manage profitability of projects, evaluate strategy for growth of the Firm
  • Keep up to date with the latest developments in audit regulations, standards, and industry trends, ensuring the firm’s audit services are of the highest quality and compliant with all relevant regulations.
  • Provides leadership, mentorship, and career guidance for the professional development and motivation of team members

Qualifications & Skills: 

  • Fellow of a relevant professional body is a must (FCA/FCCA,).
  • A minimum of 8 to 12 years of current or recent audit experience in one of the largest professional services firms
  • A depth knowledge of controlling diverse portfolio of audit clients across sectors
  • Strong technical knowledge of audit regulations, standards, and methodologies, with ability to apply this knowledge to complex audit issues and provide innovative solutions
  • Excellent leadership and management skills with a successful track record of directing and deploying team members on multiple simultaneous engagements
  • Project management, including the ability to coordinate a number of projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex audit issues clearly and concisely to clients and team members
  • Ability to travel based on client and business demands.

Job Title: Audit Manager

Location: Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure proper documentation of all audits working papers and conclusions.
  • Assists in the planning, execution and finalization of all areas of the audit assignment and seeking input for areas of concern and judgement.
  • Ensure strict adherence to necessary professional and auditing standards.
  • Produce work for the Partner review clearly highlighting issues and providing potential solutions to issues identified.
  • Identify and understand client needs, suggest potential solutions on technical matters and communicate and agree client needs and potential solutions with Partners.
  • Active engagement with senior client staff in order to gain a good understanding of their business and ensure the efficient execution of the audit.
  • Take primary responsibility for monitoring progress against budget, and when the actual differs from the budget then gain a full understanding for the Partner.
  • Supervise, coach and develop team members at client premises and in the office.
  • Supervise audit processes to ensure our audits are of high quality.
  • Ensure compliance with internal (audit methodology and risk management) and external (regulatory) requirements.
  • Participate in group, stream and firm-wide activities.
  • Ability to travel based on client and business demands.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related fields (Minimum of 2nd Class Upper Division).
  • Associate membership of a relevant professional body is a must (an ACA or ACCA).
  • At least 4-5 years’ audit experience in one of the largest professional services firms.
  • Experience supervising and coaching junior members of staff.
  • Working knowledge of local and International GAAS, IFRS and Financial Reporting requirements.
  • Working knowledge of firm services, issues regarding advice, and regulation and compliance, including anti-money laundering.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of current economic and market trends.
  • Strong problem-solving, logic and reasoning capabilities.
  • Project management, including the ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain organized and prioritize, under time-sensitive and challenging conditions.
  • Excellent analytical and written/verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to travel based on client and business demands.
