The Congenital Heart Disease Foundation of Nigeria (CHDF) is a non-profit organization that supports children and persons with Congenital Heart Disease popularly called Hole in the Heart in Nigeria. The foundation is envisioned to be the leading charity organization in Nigeria supporting the CHD cause. Our mission “to create a paradigm shift in the current status of congenital heart disease in Nigeria through awareness campaign and advocacy; support; education and research promotion” states the 4 main areas we are focusing on to achieve our vision.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Volunteer – Administrative & Communications Officer

Location: Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-Time

Role Overview

• We are also seeking a dedicated Volunteer Administrative & Communications Officer to support our daily operations and communications.
• This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of heart warriors, with a flexible schedule and a drive to contribute to a meaningful cause.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support, including organizing meetings, responding to emails, and maintaining records.
• Assist in managing CHDFNigeria’s communications, newsletters, and public relations activities.
• Support event coordination and ensure smooth communication with stakeholders.
• Contribute to the development of communication materials that align with CHDFNigeria’s mission and values.

Key Requirements

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Passionate about heart health advocacy and making a difference.
• Prior experience in communications or administration is a plus but not essential.

• The Volunteer Financial and Tax Officer will play a critical role in overseeing the financial health of CHDFNigeria.
• You will ensure our financial operations are compliant with relevant regulations and assist in preparing financial statements and tax filings.
• This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in finance, accounting, or taxation who wants to contribute their skills to a meaningful cause.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and manage day-to-day accounting activities.
• Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with Nigerian tax regulations.
• Support the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with legal financial obligations, including filing annual returns and audit requirements.
• Assist with budgeting and financial planning.

Job Summary

• We are looking for an experienced Grant, Fundraising, and Partnership Officer who will drive the organization’s fundraising and partnership efforts.
• The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of fundraising strategies, identify grant opportunities, and build sustainable partnerships that further our mission.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and implement fundraising strategies aligned with CHDFNigeria’s goals.
• Identify and secure grant opportunities, and write high-quality proposals.
• Build and manage relationships with donors, grant bodies, and partners.
• Work collaboratively with the CHDFNigeria team to ensure compliance with grant conditions.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of fundraising activities.

Job Qualifications
Relevant qualifications or certifications in fundraising and grant management (essential).

• At least 2-3 years of experience in securing grants or fundraising for NGOs.
• Excellent communication, networking, and relationship management skills.
• Strong proposal writing skills and familiarity with the grant application process.
• Preference for candidates based in Lagos or Ogun states, but exceptional applicants from other states will also be considered.
