The Federal Polytechnic Mubi was established in Yola along with six other Federal Polytechnics by Decree No 33 of 25th July, 1979.The Polytechnic was established primarily to provide full time, part-time courses of instruction and training in technology, applied science, commerce and management and in such other fields of applied learning

We hereby invite applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the the position below:

Job Title: Registrar

Location: Adamawa

Job Responsibilities

  • The Registrar is responsible to the Rector for the day-to-day administration of the Polytechnic and shall perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Governing Council or, as the case may be, the Rector may from time to time require to do.
  • He/she is one of the Principal Officers of the Polytechnic.
  • He/ she heads the Registry Department and is the custodian of Polytechnic documents.
  • He/she is the Secretary to the Council, the Academic Board and any Standing Committee of the Council.

Qualifications and Experience
The candidate for the post must possess the following qualifications and qualities:

  • Holds a First Degree with a minimum of second class lower division or Higher National Diploma (HND) with at-least a Lower Credit in Social Sciences, Education, Arts, Humanities and other related courses from a recognized Institution of Higher Learning.
  • Have a minimum of eighteen (18) years post qualification cognate experience for first degree and HND holders or Master’s degree in relevant discipline with a minimum of fifteen (15) years post qualification cognate experience or Doctorate degree (Ph.D) in relevant discipline with a minimum of twelve years post qualification cognate experience, at least ten (10) years of which, must have been gained in a Polytechnic or similar TVET institution.
  • Be currently on the rank of Deputy Registrar for a period of NOT less than five (5) years in a Polytechnic or similar TVET institution.
  • Proficient in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) skills and packages.
  • Be not more than fifty-nine (59) years of age as at of this publication
  • Demonstrate evidence of strong administrative leadership, initiation and creativity in administration policy formulation and good human relation and positive managerial attributes.
  • Knowledgeable in the Public Service Rules and Regulations of the Polytechnic system.
  • Provide evidence of membership of professional body/ bodies recognized by the Federal Government.
  • A person who is not likely to pursue racial, gender, political, religious or other sectional interest.
  • Morally sound of impeccable character, proven integrity and free from financial embarrassment; and,
  • Physically and mentally fit with evidence form a Government hospital.

Terms of Appointment and Condition of Service

  • The appointment is for a single tenure of five (5) years in line with extant provisions.
  • The salary is consolidated and the appointee shall enjoy any other benefits attached to the position of a Principal Officer of the Polytechnic as approved by the Federal Government.

Job Title: Director, Works & Engineering Services

Location: Adamawa

Responsibilities

  • The Director of Works and Engineering Services is a Management Staff responsible to the Rector and heads the Directorate of Works & Engineering Services, coordinates, supervised and ensure/maintain the Physical development, transportation, general maintenance services and project of the Polytechnic in such a way as to ensure quality and standard.

Requirements
Interested Candidate must possess the following qualifications:

  • Good honours degree in any of either Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University.
  • Possession of Master’s Degree/Ph.D will be an added advantage.
  • Membership and registration with NSE and COREN.
  • Minimum of 15 years cognate experience in a Tertiary Institution.
  • A good knowledge of Computer Applications.
  • Enjoy Physical and mental health with evidence from a Government Hospital.

The Person:

  • Must be persons of high integrity who demonstrate transparency in public and private lives.
  • They must be receptive to new ideas and willing to translate them into action in- Ine with the Vision and Mission of the Polytechnic.

Terms of Appointment

  • Salary is CONTEDISS 15
  • Other terms and conditions of appointment are as provided by the Condition of Service of the Federal Polytechnics in Nigeria and as may be determined from time-to-time by the Federal Government of Nigeria or the Governing Council of the Polytechnic.

  • The Director, Physical Planning is a Management Staff answerable to the Rector on the physical planning and development of the Polytechnic and is responsible for the coordination and supervision of physical development projects, ensure quality and standard of the infrastructures of the Polytechnic.

Requirements
Interested Candidate must possess the following qualifications:

  • Good honours degree in Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Building, Urban & Regional Planning or Civil Engineering from a recognized University.
  • Possession of Master’s Degree/Ph.D will be an added advantage.
  • Membership and registration with relevant Professional Bodies.
  • Minimum of 15 years cognate work experience in a Tertiary Institution.
  • Must be proficient in ICT packages/software.
  • Enjoy Physical and mental health with evidence from a Government Hospitality.

The Person:

  • Must be persons of high integrity who demonstrate transparency in public and private lives.
  • They must be receptive to new ideas and willing to translate them into action in- Ine with the Vision and Mission of the Polytechnic.

  • The Director, Medical Services is a Management Staff responsible to the Rector and heads the Polytechnic Clinic, coordinates, supervises and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Clinic and ensures efficient service delivery.

Requirements
Interested Candidate must possess the following qualifications:

  • Good honours degree of Medicine (MBBS), Bachelor of Surgery or equivalent qualifications from a recognized University and must have undergone a Residency programme.
  • Possession of Masters or relevant higher qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Candidates must be fully registered with Medical & Dental Council of Nigeria and present an updated yearly License with same.
  • Minimum of 15 years cognate work experience in a Tertiary Institution.
  • Must have attained advanced training leading to a Post-Graduate Fellowship of National or West African College in any specialization in Medicine of Surgery.
  • A good knowledge of Computer applications/ICT packages
  • Enjoy physical and mental health with evidence from Government Hospital.

  • Must be persons of high integrity who demonstrate transparency in public and private lives.
  • They must be receptive to new ideas and willing to translate them into action in- Ine with the Vision and Mission of the Polytechnic.
