Job Title: Production Technologist
Location: Lagos
Line Manager: Petroleum Engineering & Development Lead
Job Summary
- Production Technologist drives production optimization to maximize hydrocarbon recovery while ensuring safe, efficient, and sustainable operations.
- The role provides technical leadership in well performance, artificial lift, sand control, well integrity, and stimulation, while promoting the adoption of innovative technologies and best practices.
- By working closely with reservoir, drilling, and operations teams, the technologist ensures production strategies are aligned with business objectives to enhance asset performance and long-term value creation.
Key Responsibilities
Production Performance Analysis:
- Analyse production data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
- Utilize software tools and techniques to assess production performance and optimize operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions and improve overall production efficiency.
Well Modelling:
- Develop well models to simulate reservoir behaviour and predict production performance.
- Conduct sensitivity analyses and evaluate different scenarios to optimize the well performance.
- Work closely with reservoir engineers to integrate well models into reservoir management strategies.
Nodal Analysis:
- Perform nodal analysis to evaluate pressure drop, flow rates, and other critical parameters in production systems.
- Identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities in the production network.
- Recommend solutions to enhance production and maximize asset value.
Integrated Production Systems Modelling:
- Build integrated production systems models to simulate the behaviour of oil and gas fields.
- Analyse system dynamics, including fluid flow, reservoir depletion, and facility constraints.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to optimize field development plans and production strategies.
Project Management:
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and execution to ensure timely delivery of milestones.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners to align project objectives and priorities.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to achieve project goals.
Requirements
Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in Production Technology and Engineering Operations in the oil industry.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
- Knowledge, experience and proficiency demonstrated in all the activities described above.
- Expertise in well testing, performance analysis, and production optimization methods and strong understanding of reservoir dynamics, including fluid flow, pressure behaviour, and enhanced oil recovery techniques.
- Knowledge of nodal analysis techniques and their application to production optimization.
- Experience with production modelling software such as Prosper, GAP, tNavigator, or similar tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Job Summary
- The role includes overseeing the financial of projects within the asset, collaborating with project manager to determine budget and deadlines, tracking each stage of a project to ensure the project stays within the budgetary constraints.
- The individual has the overall responsibility for relating to the timely and cost-efficient completion of various corporate projects.
- The role holder shall be responsible for continually monitoring and evaluating each step of a project to ensure that it meets budgetary and deadline goals and assist in setting project budgets, be involved in assembling a project’s team and setting task schedules.
- He/she shall have the ability to recognize which areas of project development need to be re-addressed in order to maintain efficiency, schedule and cost control.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project budget and deadlines with project manager.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and progress & cost reports.
- Forecasting project schedules, cost and completion.
- Creating and adjusting project budgets.
- Developing and managing company’s project master schedule and resource plan.
- Develop and present monthly schedule & cost status reports to management regarding schedule progress (using s-curves), revenue recognition, earned value analysis, forecasting and contract status utilizing MS Excel, MS Project, Primavera, and related software.
- Manage project progress and productivity of project contractors; monitor and track monthly progress & costs, and change project orders.
- Monitor project to ensure it meets budget guidelines
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget
- Developed, managed and monitored project specific budgets, cash flow projections and monthly project financial reconciliation.
- Responsible for control of work-in-progress, ensures accurate client billings on related projects.
- Prepared status reports and other related project planning and controls documentation, including the collection, analysis, and presentation of regular information from major contractors.
- Analyze performance data to establish performance metrics.
- Coordinate payments to subcontractors and vendors.
- Develop risk mitigations processes.
- Comparing ongoing project activities with the project management plan and project performance baseline
- Contribute to selection, training and overseeing project controls team members.
- Offering coaching and guidance to junior team members.
Educational Requirements
- A Degree in Engineering, Quantities Qurveying, or related science fields.
- A minimum of 15 years’ experience of relevant projects controls work, with 5 years of these being in the field; special consideration will be given to field experience, particularly in the oil & gas fabrication, construction & installation industry.

- Market our services on installation and repair of measuring and automation control equipment systems and automation solution, digitalization and system integration
- Effectively conduct client presentations to all levels of the client organization
- Identify and cultivate strategic relationships at all levels of the client’s organization
- Liaising with others in the engineering team, clients and contractors
- New customer development by following up on leads and prospecting
- Follow up quotations, commercial negotiations and persuade/convince customers to place the order with us.
Requirements
Academic / Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelors’ degree in Engineering, or its equivalent in any discipline.
Experience:
- 7 years of experience in automation role
- Experience in working within the Oil & Gas Sector will be considered an important advantage.
- Prior work experience showing increasing levels of responsibility with a focus on operations in a fast paced and entrepreneurial environment.
Skills & Competencies:

- The Human Resources Generalist plays a critical role in supporting the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations and policy implementation.

- Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR policies, and compliance regulations
- Advanced knowledge of HRIS, applicant tracking systems (ATS) and ability to learn new technical systems, when necessary.
