Seven Up Bottling Company Limited is one of the largest manufacturing companies in Nigeria, producing and distributing some of the nation’s most-loved beverages in the country like; Pepsi, 7Up, Mirinda, Teem, Mountain Dew, H2oH!, Lipton Ice Tea and Aquafina premium drinking water. SBC has recently entered into the Home & Personal Care category with the 2SURE brand and launched its first product, a Hand & Surface Sanitizer. Seven Up boasts of nine bottling plants with state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities strategically located across various regions in the country.

Job Title: General Manager

Location: Nigeria

Job Brief

  • I’m currently hiring a general manager who will be responsible and accountable for all line and staff activities within the assigned area required for effective manufacturing, sales, and distribution of company goods.
  • You’ll also be responsible for the preparation and implementation of Plant’s annual business plan.

Responsibilities

  • Control of all operational aspects, including revenue growth, profit, operations and production, quality, product development, health and safety, finance, and compliance within assigned.
  • Prepare an annual manufacturing plan and policy guidelines to drive the performance of key result areas on production activities and continuous implementation monitoring.
  • Proactively monitor sales and distribution activities to ensure efficient and adequate supply of finished goods and optimum deployment of transportation to facilitate distribution to customers.
  • Optimally make sure that manufacturing units improve on the standard efficiencies in terms of machine efficiencies, material yields, labour, and overhead costs versus budget.
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained at all times and do not suffer in the quest for cost optimization.
  • Implement a Plant Performance Tracking System, which includes the key performance indicators covering manufacturing, engineering, quality assurance, manpower levels, and finance
  • Monitor materials usage at individual plants and ensure wastage and losses are minimal and not in excess of set standards.
  • Oversee the planning and implementation of an effective preventive engineering maintenance schedule in line with budgeted costs.
  • Oversee the cost-effective management of all outsourced transportation services in consistency with budgeted levels of costs.
  • Develop and nurture a dynamic and competent workforce through a robust performance-driven culture
  • Provide strategic leadership, team spirit, and drive to ensure the achievement of company objectives across all reporting activities.

Requirements

  • B.Sc./HND
  • MBA/MSc will be an added advantage.
  • 15+ years of working experience in the Manufacturing space.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a senior management position.
  • Strong Leadership/Coaching Skills
  • Communication skill
  • Problem-solving and Decision-Making Skills
  • Result Oriented.

Job Title: Maintenance Manager

Location: Nigeria

Position Overview

  • The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the plant maintenance strategies in accordance to global best practices to ensure asset reliability and availability within the best optimum cost.

Main Responsibilities

  • Establishes, monitors and reinforces control on maintenance strategy execution in plant in alignment with country strategy
  • Organises and schedules annual overhaul of production lines and facilities
  • Improves efficiencies by increasing preventive maintenance across the plant and to minimise breakdowns and reduce mean time between failures.
  • Develops business plans providing productivity improvement and stretchy targets for cost efficiency
  • Prepares and controls annual plant maintenance budget ensuring sufficient funds to cover all routines and initiatives reflected in strategy & operational plans.
  • Ensures optimal spare parts and maintenance materials inventory management
  • Ensures continuous and effective assets management
  • Actively participates and ensures the implementation of various infrastructure or process optimisation projects
  • Evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions using all available data
  • Maintains effective systems to ensure SBC/PI products and package quality.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of Bachelor of Engineering Degree (B.Eng.) or HND with Mechanical Engineering background
  • 8 – 10 years relevant hands-on FMCG operation and maintenance experience.
  • Hands-on experience working /maintaining a PET line above supervisory level.
  • Must possess CMRP CERTIFICATION or similar Engineering certification will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in plant manufacturing operations, project planning & implementation.
  • Previous new equipment or line installation or extension could be an advantage.

Job Title: Territory Development Manager

  • Seven-Up Bottling Company is currently recruiting for Territory Development Manager who will be accountable for the daily sales execution and management of TDOs /TDEs within assigned territory towards the actualization of the overall sales target.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure sustained growth of SBC’s market share in key SKUs within assigned territory.
  • Recognize opportunities to continually increase SBC’s market share through identification of untapped channels and new routes, understanding of customer business drivers, and new product launch.
  • Activate local and national marketplace initiatives and promotions to continuously build brand development and maximise brand performance.
  • Identify potential sales risks, opportunities, and misses for the distributor(s), communicate accordingly, and recommend solutions.
  • Responsible for the territory’s sales tracking and numeric distribution to achieve planned objectives.
  • Implement quality & control measures at distributor outlets – FIFO, stock numbers, through the assigned direct report.
  • Organise, guide, and motivate direct reports to achieve sales targets within the agreed profit margins.
  • Submit market trend reports received to the line manager on a monthly basis.
  • Conduct regular fieldwork with the direct report to ensure all agreed sales initiatives are properly executed; provide feedback to the distributor and the sales team for improvement.
  • Partner with the product supply team, logistics, and warehouse to ensure product availability.
  • Coach direct reports on selling skills.
  • Encourages direct reports to attend scheduled learning and development programs.
  • Ability to use mobile sales force automation applications to drive sales and improve customer experience.

Requirements

  • BSC/ HND in a Management course or any relevant field.
  • 5yrs+ sales experience in route to market and sales management with a proven track record of sales of beverage.
  • A postgraduate degree in a relevant field will be an advantage.

Job Title: Site Project Manager

Job Description

  • The Project Manager responsible for the implementation of HQ coordinated plant projects to ensure timely completion and control the expenses within the budgeted cost.

  • Preparation of Gantt Chart in liasoning with all the selected vendors
  • Ensuring no cost overshooting &if there is any risk, escalating to Project Head Immediately.
  • Monitoring the risks continuously &planning mitigation plan in coordination with Project Head.
  • Timely follow-up of procurement requirements.
  • Timely follow-up payments for vendors.
  • Daily update &Weekly reports to Project Head.
  • Ensuring proper logistics for the site team in coordination with plant HR.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of Bachelor of Engineering Degree (B.Eng.) or HND in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 – 7 years relevant hands-on experience in technical project engineering.
  • At least 4 years’ experience in a beverage bottling company.
  • Must know AutoCAD &MS Office. Should be able to do scheduling in MS Projects.
  • Experienced in budgeting and people management
  • Knowledge of bottling operations: Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, Environment
  • Must Possess PMP CERTIFICATION or similar
  • Project Management certification will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in plant manufacturing operations, project planning & implementation.
