Job Title: Chief Operating Officer

Location: Nigeria

Job Description

  • The design, implementation, and maintenance of effective systems and organizational structures that enable the smooth operation of the company whilst also supporting further growth in both our income and activities.
  • The effective implementation, and ongoing monitoring, of appropriate policies and procedures that ensure the safe and successful delivery of our work.
  • Improve and maintain reporting mechanisms to allow the CEO, Chair, and Board to have access to the most accurate and up-to-date data in relation to our impact.
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership to core business functions including Finance, HR, IT, Fundraising, and Administration to ensure the successful delivery of organizational objectives.
  • Lead the development and implementation of the overall Organization’s Strategy in line with the company’s vision.
  • Lead, manage, and guide Leaders and Managers of the Organization on the Strategic Direction of the Company.
  • Drive technological advancement, sustainable growth, and profitability of the Company by developing and implementing strategic goals and objectives and aligning resources to ensure consistent results.
  • Collaborate with the CEO in setting and driving organizational vision, operational strategy, and hiring needs.
  • Translate strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth helping to implement organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operating planning
  • Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture ensuring team members thrive and organizational outcomes are met
  • Ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention.
  • Analyse internal operations and identify areas of process enhancement
  • Develop actionable business strategies and plans that ensure alignment with short-term and long-term objectives developed in tandem with the CEO.
  • Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of executives (IT, Marketing, Sales, HR, legal, etc.)
  • Monitor process improvement KPIs and report on progress
  • Grade each employee’s performance
  • Compile a list of projections and organize the implementation process
  • Track the process of project completion

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics or related fields
  • Minimum of Second Class Lower with relevant Masters Degree.
  • Relevant certification is required

Experience:

  • 15-20 years of relevant work experience, 5 years in the same role, and 10 years of general management experience.

KPI:

  • Operating Margin
  • Operating Cash Flow
  • Cash Conversion cycle (time from injecting cash into your business and making sales)
  • Employee Turnover Rate
  • Labour Utilization

Skills:

  • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
  • Experience in fundraising will be a plus
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
  • Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
  • Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving

Job Title: Principal Construction Manager

Location: Nigeria

Key Responsibilities
Project Management:

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all personnel.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Prepare and present regular project updates to stakeholders, highlighting achievements, challenges, and milestones.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 20 years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record of overseeing large-scale projects.
  • Professional certification (e.g., PMP, CCM) is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Primavera, Procore, MS Project).

Responsiblities

  • Reviewing and designing architectural and engineering plans.
  • Ensuring all plans are compliant with governmental health and safety regulations.
  • Researching and maintaining knowledge of various engineering disciplines, application methods, and materials.
  • Monitoring the work of other Architects and making recommendations or scheduling workshops as required.
  • Providing guidance to subcontractors like builders, plumbers, and electricians, and helping them interpret design specifications.
  • Liaising with clients to ensure all issues are addressed in a timely manner, and that project requirements are met.
  • Ensuring the team works together to achieve set goals and targets.
  • Acting as a mentor to new Architects and helping them fine-tune their design skills and improve their industry knowledge.
  • Networking and consulting with various industry professionals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
  • Second Class Upper with Masters Degree
  • Minimum of Second Class Lower with relevant Masters Degree.
  • ARCON / NIA Licence
  • B.Arch or M.Sc/M.E.D Architecture & ARCON Registered.

Requirements:

  • Project management experience
  • Strong leadership and collaborative skills
  • Client and consultant coordination ability
  • Presentation expertise
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and other related software and design platforms
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and self-starting
  • Minimum of 10 years as head of design unit.
  • Must have been engaged in management and development of turn-key design and construction project.
  • Must have achieved total cumulative 300,000 square meters of build – up area (project).
  • Must be able to work under pressure and on weekends.
  • Must be able to lead a design team on site.

Salary
N2,000,000 – N3,000,000 / Month.
