Job Title: Partnerships Director

Location: Yenagoa, Bayelsa

Description 
About you and the role:

  • One of Zipline’s core values is customer obsession. We are seeking a proven sales strategist and client advocate to lead and oversee growth of our key partnerships in Bayelsa State, Nigeria.
  • As the Partnerships Director, you’ll be responsible for developing a partnership strategy and act as the principal driver of use case growth by coordinating activities between Sales and Operations teams and the state.
  • This will involve developing value propositions to introduce new use cases and scale existing ones, leveraging data to demonstrate impact and value to existing clients, working hand-in-hand with decision-makers to ensure our logistics and data services are maximizing health and economic impact, and managing relationships with key stakeholders in government and at funding and implementing organizations in the state.

Responsibilities 
What you’ll do:

  • Own the client experience from the time a deal is closed through implementation and growth
  • Lead impact and economic value discussions with stakeholders to shape ongoing integration of our service into government systems for maximal return on investment
  • Leverage insights to support government, sub-agencies, and other partners to improve public health planning, forecasting, and decision-making, consistently demonstrating Zipline’s value proposition around data
  • Monitor health trends against Zipline utilization and partner with the government to refine standard operating procedures that reflect the desired service terms, usage, and impact
  • Manage quarterly forecasts and projected impact against governments’ health and economic goals; ensure Zipline is represented in government’s annual and quarterly forecasts
  • Collaborate closely with Operations to ensure programs, projects, and new use cases are implemented against their planned timelines and in line with client expectations
  • Support joint research planning and development, including use case pilots, research studies, and new monitoring projects with government and other local partners
  • Actively monitor bilateral and multilateral funds and commitments in-country and proactively partner with the government to shape relevant projects
  • Partner with Marketing to ensure our partnerships in Bayelsa are adequately promoted and visible on social media platforms

Requirements
What you’ll bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, partnerships, and/or government affairs
  • Track record of owning and driving account growth over time
  • Experience selling complex, high-value products or services preferred
  • Experience partnering with government and/or funding institutions preferred
  • Experience in health or development sectors a plus
  • Ability to deeply understand a client’s current situation and needs, identify gaps and opportunities, and align proposed solutions to fit the client’s strategy and goals
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Collaborative approach that includes working with multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Inherent self-motivation, adaptability, and creativity
  • Fluency in English

Job Title: Flight Operations Lead

Location: Ogoja, Cross River

About You and the Role
Leads at Zipline are fundamentally responsible for the output of their teams.
You will be expected to maximize this output by successfully executing in these areas:

  • Setting clear goals and key performance indicators to measure performance (KPIs),
  • Distributing work across your team,
  • Developing and nurturing your team’s talent,
  • Giving both positive and constructive feedback regularly to your team, and
  • Coordinating with other teams and individuals across the Zipline.

What You’ll Do
For your team:

  • Set and communicate ambitious goals and priorities for your team — in alignment with Zipline and organization/country goals. Some of these goals will be local and others will directly connect to global metrics used to measure our effectiveness in serving customers.
  • Call out when your team needs help: there are gaps in resources (people, tools, skills) that will prevent your team from reaching certain goals — these must be flagged early and often.
  • Make sure work is distributed across your team in a way that allows for collective and individual success. Leads should not be responsible person on key project work but rather should be identifying members of their team to own projects. Leads should be comfortable putting people in uncomfortable positions (i.e., giving people work that is slightly above their capacity).
  • Ensure that your team’s work is coordinated with the teams around them.

For individuals on your team:

  • Related to their work:
    • Help each individual prioritize their work
    • Help your team overall prioritize its work including (very importantly) saying no and pushing back
    • Meet regularly so that you and they both know if they’re on track or not to meet their work goals. If they are not on track, give guidance/input to correct the work.
  • Related to their development:
    • Know each individual’s long-term professional growth plans.
    • Ensure they are set up on a development path and making progress along that path.
    • Proactively inform individuals when they aren’t meeting expectations, OR when they can push themselves for continued growth.

What You’ll Bring 

  • A Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Aerospace Engineering or any related field
  • Already demonstrating high quality in executing direct & indirect operational duties excellently therefore able to “lead by example”.
  • Appreciates the value of using numbers to understand problems and make decisions.
  • Uses sound judgment to know what decisions are important to make or not to make.
  • A strong contributor to team cohesion at the nest.
  • Demonstrating strong mentoring and coaching skills.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking about customer needs and customer experience.

What else you need to know:

  • Must be willing and able to work nights/weekends on shifts
  • This is a full-time position based in Ogoja Cross River State and will require relocation
  • Must be able to travel to Ghana for at least 1 month for the Zipline Academy training program
  • Must have completed NYSC and hold a certificate of completion or exemption
  • Must be eligible to work in Nigeria.

Location: Ogoja, Cross River

What You’ll Do

  • Create awareness of Zipline’s service in the communities we serve through running community events, conducting community visits, hosting visits at our site, and more
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and community champions
  • Coordinate opportunities to give back to the community, including blood drives and community events
  • Design a community awareness plan for the understanding of new use cases
  • Help the team understand and live Zipline’s values
  • Develop community bonds within and across our sites
  • Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all Zipliners
  • Meet regularly with each team member at the site.

What You’ll Bring

  • You have 3 – 5 years of significant prior experience working with people and communities on programs (candidates with strong relevant experience working with community-based multinational non-profit organizations are preferred)
  • A relevant qualification
  • You can communicate effectively (verbally and in writing), are comfortable speaking in front of large groups, and have experience building strong and high-trust relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • You are detail-oriented and have experience organizing successful in-person events for large groups
  • You have the grit, resourcefulness, and resilience to thrive in novel, uncertain, and constantly changing business and regulatory environments
  • You believe deeply that access matters and that we can and will provide access to essential medical supplies for every person on the planet
  • You need to speak proficient English and have a high level of fluency in any of the languages spoken in Cross River
  • You have experience in project management, evaluation, and monitoring
  • You must be eligible to work in Nigeria
  • This position is based in Ogoja, Cross River state.
