We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Mechanical Engineer – Project – Engineering – Office Purpose – Water Treatment Plant
Location:Â Lagos
Responsibilities
Engineering & Design:
- Prepare and review design calculations for rotary and packaged equipment such as:
- Pumps (Raw Water, River Water, HRSCC Feed, Chemical Transfer, Backwash, Sludge)
- Blowers, compressors (if applicable)
- Chemical dosing and unloading packages
- Skid-mounted packages (UF, RO auxiliaries, chlorination, dosing systems)
- Review of vendor drawings & documents:
- Mechanical datasheets
- GA drawings, P&IDs, layouts
- Equipment sizing and selection calculations
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and applicable standards (API, ASTM, ASME, ISO, MSS).
Vendor Engineering & TBE:
- Prepare RFQs and technical specifications for rotary and packaged equipment.
- Carry out Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) and vendor comparison for various packages.
- Review and approve vendor drawings, documents, and datasheets.
- Coordinate with vendors for technical clarifications, deviations, and optimizations.
- Review painting specifications, materials of construction, noise limits, and inspection/ testing requirements.
Interdisciplinary Coordination:
- Coordinate with Process, Civil, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams for:
- Equipment layout and accessibility
- Power requirements and motor selection
- Instrumentation and control philosophy
- Support preparation of load lists, I/O lists, and equipment interfaces.
Inspection & Quality:
- Review and approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).
- Participate in or review:
- Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
- Performance and noise tests
- Dimensional inspections
- Review NCRs and corrective actions from vendors.
Knowledge of Codes & Standards:
- ASTM, ASME, API, ISO, EN
- Hydraulic Institute (HI)
- MSS SP standards
- Painting & corrosion protection standards
Qualifications / Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.​
- Experience: 8-10 years’ experience in project engineering.

- Participate in project meetings to offer insights on material availability and specifications.​
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to enhance material coding processes and implement best practices.​
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in material management.​
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.​
- Experience: 6 – 8 years experience in project engineering, material management, or a similar role within mechanical engineering projects.​
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in engineering design and understanding of mechanical components.​
- Experience with Bill of Materials (BOM) management and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.​
Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.​
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.​
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to project changes.​

- A foremost Indegenious Oil & Gas exploration organization requires the services of qualified HMV Maintenance Mechanics to strengthen its operations and uphold service excellence.
- The ideal candidates would be responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and preventive maintenance of heavy motor vehicles to ensure optimal performance, safety, and complianceand regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Diagnosis & Repair:
- Diagnose mechanical faults in heavy motor vehicles using diagnostic tools and technical manuals
- Repair or replace faulty engines, gearboxes, axles, suspension systems, and braking systems
- Carry out engine overhauls and major mechanical repairs when required
Preventive Maintenance;
- Perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance on HMVs
- Conduct inspections to identify wear, damage, or potential failures
- Ensure vehicles are maintained according to maintenance schedules
Systems Maintenance:
Maintain and repair:
- Diesel engines and fuel systems
- Transmission and clutch systems
- Steering and suspension systems

Requirements
- Age Bracket: 30 – 45 years
- Academic Qualification: OND, SSCE, Trade Test- I, II, III
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the same role. Prior experience working in an automobile company is an added advantage.
