Requirements

  • A good Master’s Degree from a recognised university in a relevant field and a minimum of three (3) years of higher education teaching experience.
    OR
  • A Doctorate Degree from a recognized university in a relevant field.
  • Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
  • Evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals would be an advantage.

Location: Mkpatak, Akwa Ibom
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary 

  • The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the University, responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration of the University.
  • The Registrar is also the Secretary to the University Governing Council, Senate, Congregation and Convocation.

Requirements

  • The candidate for the post of Registrar must possess a minimum of a second-class lower degree from a recognised University, with at least twelve (12) years relevant post- qualification experience in an institution of higher learning, preferably in a university.
  • Possession of higher degree(s), professional qualification and membership of professional bodies will be an added advantage.

Other Requirements:
The candidates for the posts of Registrar, Bursar, and the University Librarian are expected to:

Job Summary 

  • The Bursar is the Chief Financial Officer of the University and is directly responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the management and control of the finances of the University.

Requirements

  • The candidate for the post of Bursar must possess a minimum of a second-class lower degree in Accounting and Finance or any related discipline from a recognised University, with at least ten (10) years relevant post-qualification experience in an institution of higher learning, preferably a university.
  • Possession of a higher qualification will be an added advantage. The applicant must possess any of the following professionally recognised accountancy qualifications: ANAN, ACA, CIMA, CPA, ACCA, ICAN.

Other Requirements:

Job Title: Librarian 

Location: Mkpatak, Akwa Ibom
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The University Librarian is responsible to PC the Vice-Chancellor for the overall administration and coordination of the University library, its branches in the Faculties, as well as providing services for the entire University Community. Interested candidates should be prepared to perform the following functions:
    • Procure books and journals for the library;
    • Prepare library budgets;
    • Serve as primary contact at the library for students and staff;
    • Design, maintain and access library web- pages and user interfaces;
    • Assist staff with designing course-specific web pages and providing intellectual property rights;
    • Be in excellent physical and mental health

Requirement

  • The candidate for the post of Librarian must possess a minimum of second-class lower degree, Masters in Library Science (MLS) and PhD from a recognised University, with at least ten (10) years relevant post- qualification experience in an institution of higher learning preferably a university.

The candidate is also expected to:

  • Have considerable number of scholarly publications in reputable journals;
  • Be a member of the following:
    • Librarian Registration Council of Nigeria
    • Nigeria Library Association;
  • Be computer literate and proficient in relevant computer applications as applicable to the running of a complex and modern University Library.
