Overall Purpose of the Role
- The Static Engineer is responsible for the inspection, reliability, integrity, maintenance, and performance of all static equipment within the facility.
- The role ensures that pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, boilers, piping systems, columns, reactors, and other static assets operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards, industry codes, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all static equipment.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for static assets.
- Conduct integrity assessments, fitness-for-service (FFS), and remaining life evaluations.
- Review engineering drawings, P&IDs, GA drawings, isometrics, and technical specifications.
- Monitor equipment condition and recommend corrective actions to prevent failures.
- Participate in equipment inspections, shutdowns, turnarounds, and maintenance planning.
- Coordinate inspection activities in accordance with RBI (Risk-Based Inspection) programs.
- Investigate equipment failures and perform root cause analysis (RCA).
- Review inspection reports and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with ASME, API, ASTM, NACE, and other applicable international standards.
- Support equipment commissioning, start-up, and performance testing.
- Evaluate repair methods for damaged equipment and ensure quality execution.
- Review vendor documentation and provide technical support during procurement.
- Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Process, Mechanical, and Inspection teams.
- Prepare engineering reports, maintenance plans, and equipment performance analyses.
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with HSE policies and statutory regulations.
- Participate in Management of Change (MOC), HAZOP, and risk assessment activities.
- Support plant reliability improvement initiatives and cost optimization programs.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Professional registration (COREN or equivalent) is an added advantage.
- Membership of NSE, ASME, API, or other relevant professional bodies is desirable.
Experience:
- 5 – 10 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, LNG, Fertilizer, or Gas Processing industry.
- Proven experience with static equipment maintenance, inspection, and reliability.
- Experience in brownfield or greenfield projects is an added advantage.
- Hands-on experience supporting plant shutdowns and turnarounds.

Overall Purpose of the Role
- The Mechanical Packaging Engineer is responsible for the engineering, integration, procurement support, inspection, installation, and commissioning of packaged mechanical equipment for oil and gas facilities.
- The role ensures that all packaged units are designed, manufactured, tested, and delivered in compliance with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements while meeting safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop technical specifications, data sheets, and requisitions for packaged mechanical equipment.
- Review vendor proposals and perform technical bid evaluations.
- Coordinate the engineering, design, fabrication, inspection, testing, and delivery of packaged equipment.
- Review vendor drawings, calculations, GA drawings, P&IDs, PFDs, 3D models, and equipment layouts.
- Ensure all packaged equipment complies with project specifications, client requirements, and international codes.
- Interface with Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil, and Procurement teams to ensure seamless package integration.
- Monitor vendor engineering progress and resolve technical issues during package development.
- Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, design reviews, model reviews, constructability reviews, and technical workshops.
- Support procurement activities by preparing technical clarifications and evaluating supplier capabilities.
- Witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), performance tests, and pre-shipment inspections.
- Provide engineering support during installation, commissioning, start-up, and performance testing.
- Resolve engineering and operational issues during project execution.
- Ensure documentation, vendor manuals, spare parts lists, and as-built drawings are complete before handover.
- Support troubleshooting, reliability improvement, and optimization of packaged equipment.
- Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and industry best practices.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- COREN registration or eligibility is an added advantage.
- Membership of NSE, ASME, or other relevant professional bodies is desirable.
- 7–10 years of mechanical engineering experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, LNG, Refinery, Gas Processing, or EPC industry.
- Oil & Gas Experience.
- Proven experience with packaged equipment engineering and vendor management.
- Experience on greenfield, brownfield, EPC, EPIC, or FEED projects is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience supporting construction, commissioning, and start-up activities is an advantage.

- Participate in equipment sizing, technical evaluations, vendor clarification, and design reviews.
- Coordinate with Process, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation, and other engineering disciplines.

- Identify and resolve equipment-related technical issues and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Participate in HAZOP, design reviews, inspections, and other project engineering activities.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree/HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or Energy industry is highly preferred.
- Proven experience with rotating equipment engineering and selection.
- Good knowledge of API, ASME, ISO, and other relevant industry standards.
- Experience with pumps, compressors, turbines, and other rotating machinery.
- Ability to review vendor documentation and technical specifications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering software.
Preferred Experience:
- Candidates with experience in EPC, PMC, refinery, petrochemical, or major Oil & Gas projects are strongly encouraged to apply.
