Job Description

  • To assume direct accountability of people, resources, channels, business & risk controls in the Region in line with Consumer Banking objectives. To proactively identify and assess the risks faced by the region and maintain an effective system of controls to reduce exposure.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of First Degree
  • A seasoned banker with a minimum of 8 years branch banking experience
  • Minimum of 3-4 experience in managing aĀ diverse range of people and activities is essential
  • Minimum of 10 years total experience
  • Relevant professional certifications such as ACIB is an added advantage

Job Description

  • Ā To work directly with the Dispute Resolution Team to fulfil their role of managing the litigation portfolio of the HoldCo and other subsidiaries.
  • In addition to this, the incumbent is expected to ensure that support the legal risk management function for the HoldCo and other subsidiaries.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors-in-Law from a university as well as the Nigerian Law School required. Proof of payment of the annual lawyer’s practicing fee required.

MinimumĀ Experience
Dispute Resolution:

  • 4 – 8 years in the Legal Services Department of a financial institution or a reputable law firm.
  • Proven experience in dispute resolution and the provision of legal advice, drafting, vetting, review, dissemination and/or negotiation, with at least 5 years’ experience within the legal and/or financial sectors. Identification and mitigation of legal risk.
