Job Title: Logistics and Protocol Officer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full Time

Purpose of Position

  • The Logistics and Protocol Officer is responsible for coordinating logistics, managing protocol arrangements, and ensuring the smooth operation of events, travel, and meetings.
  • This role involves meticulous planning, coordination with various stakeholders, and adherence to organisational protocols and procedures.

Essential Duties / Key Job Roles & Responsibilities
Include but not limited to the following:

  • Develop and manage effective system for transport and logistics in the School.
  • Plan and manage logistics for the organisation’s events, meetings, and activities.
  • Ensure efficient use of drivers and pool vehicles and responsible for arranging airport pick-ups.
  • Develop and manage relationships with service providers to ensure uninterrupted service delivery and value for money (e.g. Courier agencies, Car service and rental stations, etc.).
  • Supervise drivers and any other staff assigned to the unit.
  • Develop and implement proposals for service improvement, track car millage and motoring costs.
  • Develop and implement protocol policies and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to protocol guidelines during official events, visits, and meetings.
  • Coordinate VIP and high-profile guest arrangements, including travel, accommodation, and security.
  • Liaise with government officials, embassies, and other relevant agencies to facilitate smooth protocol operations
  • Develop and implement an approved budget for the services. Monitor budget spending and provide reports.
  • Responsible for ensuring all the school’s vehicles are in good working condition.
  • Monitor the activities of the mailing unit to ensure full compliance with procedures and processes.
  • Provide liaison for processing of visas and travel documents for staff on official trips.
  • Responsible for the processing of flight tickets in line with policy.
  • Responsible for processing payments and following up with Accounts on all payments
  • Any other relevant duty will be assigned by the line manager from time to time.

  • Efficiency in service provided.
  • Reduced cost/value for money for services.
  • Ratings of Business Process Audit
  • Feedback from customers
  • New initiatives introduced for service improvement

Qualifications

  • A University Degree or its equivalent in any field.

Experience:

  • A minimum of five years of administrative experience in managing service providers and travel desks will be an advantage.

Job Title: Cost Controller

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full Time

Purpose of Position

  • The position of Food & Beverage cost controller plays a crucial role in the hospitality and food service industry, serving several key purposes aimed at ensuring cost control, waste elimination and overall financial efficiency.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
Include but not limited to the following:

  • Verify the Market list initiated by the Chef and spot check purchase items quantity as per PO.
  • Regular meeting with Chef and F & B Manager to achieve better planning and control of food and beverage costing.
  • Prepare daily food and beverage cost reports.
  • Monitor daily staff cafeteria costing.
  • Prepare monthly food and beverages cost compilation reports.
  • Keep records and monitor all inter kitchen transfer.
  • Periodically inspection on the receiving dock to ensure the quality of goods received are satisfactory.
  • Conduct monthly sock inventory count and half yearly operating Equipment count.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Accounting / Finance / Hospitality Management.
  • Professional Qualification: Certified Hospitality Accountant Executive. Or Certified Management Accountant (CMA).

Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years experience working in a similar role.

Job Title: Senior Associate, Partners and Engagement

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full Time

Purpose of Position

  • Associates for Partner Engagement and Communications for the LBS Sustainability Centre is responsible for implementing a range of internal and external strategic communication and stakeholder engagement and provides specialist advice and services across community consultation, customer information, issues management and digital strategies that champion sustainability initiatives of Lagos Business School at large.
  • The Centre should be known for advancing corporate sustainability thinking, practice and delivery in Nigeria and Africa intellectually and practically.
  • Therefore, the ideal candidate should carry out their tasks with the aim of communicating the activities and outputs of the LBS Sustainability Centre’s projects across all traditional and new media platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Implement communications and publicity plans for the Center’s projects and activities through various mediums, media and social media platforms.
  • Prepare press releases, writeups and posts which showcase the Center’s activities to various stakeholder groups – partners, donors, participants, academic community etc
  • Organise and attend stakeholders’ engagement and promotional events.
  • Stay up-to-date with local, national and international affairs relating to sustainability and sustainable development
  • Keep Centre’s communication platforms content up to date on the project websites, webpages, Facebook and Twitter sites
  • Develop organic and paid search engine optimisation plans for the Center’s programmes and events.
  • Repurpose video content for dissemination and engagement proposes as well as community building
  • Build a community of followers comprised of sustainability professionals and potential funders
  • Develop strategies to increase traffic and engagement on the website and social media platforms,
  • Attend meetings with and manage relationships with LBS stakeholders and member organisations
  • Develop proposals, concept notes for grant projects, forums and programme recommendations to decision-makers
  • Manage partners and fundraising for centre conferences and stakeholder forums planning, financial management and reporting centre programmes
  • Collaborate with the project team to brainstorm story ideas and develop an editorial calendar for activities of the Centre.
  • Monitor, document, and report the Centre’s progress in Annual reports, multimedia publications etc
  • Monitor, document, advise and report on ongoing improvement in the school’s sustainability and responsibility performance in line with LBS strategy and objectives and the UN Principles for Responsible Management (PRME).
  • Contribute to reports and support external communication on LBS’ sustainability and responsible management achievements and initiatives (keynote speech, conference presentations)
  • Support deliverables of various hosted initiatives at the Sustainability Centre.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree.

Professional Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate training and membership in a related professional body is an advantage.
  • Postgraduate/ Master Degree is an advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of work experience, preferably in a think-tank, research institute, or consulting/advisory firm.

  • To take ownership of the School’s online presence. The job holder is entrusted with ensuring the optimal performance and functionality of the websites.
  • The role involves responsibilities, including managing and maintaining web properties, implementing improvements, and enhancing user experience.
  • The successful candidate is expected to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) that directly contribute to the overall success of the organization’s digital presence.
  • Essentially, the purpose is to have a skilled Webmaster who can effectively oversee, enhance, and maintain the organization’s online platforms to meet strategic goals and provide excellent user experience.

Essential Duties / Key Job Roles & Responsibilities

  • Ensure the overall health, functionality, and security of company websites.

  • A Senior Associate for the LBS Sustainability Centre is to lead projects of the LBS sustainability Centre and champion sustainability initiatives of Lagos Business School at large.
  • The centre should be known for advancing corporate sustainability thinking, practice and delivery in Nigeria and Africa in an intellectual and practical way.
  • Therefore, the ideal candidate should have some understanding and passion for sustainable development issues, research, programme/project coordination and management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expertise, innovation and creativity in broadening Centre footprint her selected thematic areas and for her target market
  • Develop proposals, concept notes for industry reports, research and consulting projects for industry
  • Manage industry research, journal articles, reports and case studies projects (desktop research, literature reviews, data collection, interviews, data analysis, writing, drafting, reviews etc)
  • Identify and explore local and international trends and opportunities in sustainability for the centre and LBS as a whole.
  • Design, develop and manage industry-focused programmes and research projects
  • Support external communication on Centre and LBS’ sustainability and responsible management achievements and initiatives (keynote speech, conference presentations)
  • Support the programme team in reviewing program feedback including that from external partner organisations; assess programming for continuous improvement
  • Attend meetings with and manage relationships with LBS stakeholders and member organisations
  • Initiate and support fundraising activities and grant sourcing to fund Centre activities
  • Serve as LBS designate to partner organisations like the Private Sector Advisory Group (PSAG).

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Master’s Degree.

Professional Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate training and membership in a related professional body is an advantage.

  • Minimum of Four (4) years of work experience, preferably in sustainability practice, think-tank, research institute, or consulting/advisory firm.
