Job Title: Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer

Location: Nigeria

Activities

  • Assist Head of section (Head of Mechanical Rotating Equipment) for the updating of the Maintenance Plans, may involve procedures drafting, drawings issuance, studies performance, spare parts identification reviews, tools reviews, documentation filing, binding or data capture in computerized systems.
  • Supports the FPSO AKPO & EGINA operational teams as requested in areas of own specialty, including drafting working procedures, maintenance programs, and providing associated logistic support. As instructed, develops maintenance methods tools in own area of competence, analyses the works and practices, and suggests ways of optimization.
  • Performs technical studies in his field of competence as instructed in view of improving performance or upgrading the facilities.
  • Follows-up the technical problems raised, follows-up the technical and contractual files, as instructed, follows up the warranty claims and the implementation of the corrective actions.
  • Performs equipment performance analysis; develop and put in place enhanced condition monitoring programs.
  • Follows-up the day to day activities of the offshore teams; remains available to provide them the assistance and support as needed.

  • Attends materials repairs or inspection in the LADOL base or in Contractors’ facilities.
  • Coordinates, according to the instructions received from hierarchy, his activities with the MTMC (Maintenance and Technical Methods Contractor) method and planning engineers based in Lagos.
  • Follows-up into UNISUP, the computerized maintenance management system, the registration of the works, of the consumed materials, of the services…
  • Follows-up the spare parts and consumables consumption, report anomalies and initiate suitable action in order to prevent shortage optimize the stock.
  • Reviews the requests for materials, defines the technical specifications for purchase.
  • Supervises receipt of materials on a technical point of view. Visit the LADOL warehouse if require.
  • Controls the condition of materials in warehouses, take action for improvement as needed.
  • Maintains and updates the technical documentation ” Performs periodic and ad-hoc reports as required.
  • Co-ordinate these actions with concerned staff, from both offshore and onshore sites.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Technology involved in the job: Gas Turbines, Compressors, Diesel Engines, Static Equipment, other Mechanical items.

Job Title: Lead Engineer, Floating unit and Subsea Inspection

Location: Nigeria

Activities

  • Ensure that the mechanical and structural integrity of the Floating Units (including LSA) and subsea pieces of equipment are maintained and follow the requirements of TEP Referential, for that:
  • Manage, organize, plan and follow the above-mentioned inspection activities.
  • Define the SOW, insure the coordination with contractors, site and TECHLOG.
  • Analyze the control or inspection report, provide remedial work recommendation and issue actions to relevant players. Follow up on the recommendations and ensure clearance on due date

Candidate Profile

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum or Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Must have 10 to 15 years of experience in construction/ SD activities and management of operations in industrial oil & gas context and project management.
  • Capability to manage HSE aspects (in particular respect of safety rules) including management of these aspects by external entities.
  • Specific professional knowledge: SAP/R3 (UNISUP).

  • Takes the lead and participates in Job Risk Assessments (JRAs), Constructability reviews and other relevant review sessions related to his/her assigned activities.
  • Ensures Contractors have viable schedules for their work, recognizing interfaces with other ongoing Company activities.

Job Title: Lead Engineer, Integrated Control & Safety Systems (ICSS)

Location: Trans Amadi, Port Harcourt – Rivers

Activities

  • Prepares maintenance programs for instrumentation systems covering measuring instruments, control valves, shutdown valves, control systems, F&G devices and other specialized systems.
  • Supports routine maintenance concerns by treating material modification requests/ reports progress with expediting status.

  • Assists in preparation of instrumentation operations budget documents to JV partners
  • Implements and defends provided instrumentation budgets before COMPANY and JV partners
  • Reviews and checks work completed by contractors and site teams, ensures compliance with work satisfactorily completed, makes necessary corrections, and submits to the Head of Instrumentation & ICSS for endorsement and payment processing
  • Supervises the implementation of instrumentation modification/ improvement projects to ensure safe, cost-effective and timely execution in accordance with Company’s General Specifications
  • Contributes during technical and safety analysis of equipment failures and shutdowns on site and proffers solutions
  • Troubleshoot complex or recurring instrumentation problems, which require resolution with help of other departments
  • Liaises with OEM for queries on maintenance modifications spare parts and the resolution of technical problems on site

Activities

  • Responsible for the preparation, planning, execution, supervision, commissioning, cost definition and follow-up of major interventions / overhauls jobs on rotating equipment packages – gas turbines, compressors, pumps (reciprocating and centrifugal), engines (used for water injection, oil expedition, etc) and and static equipment packages – cranes 5Y PM, skids modification, manual valves, site modifications, fire?fighting systems (engines, hydrants, pumps, auxiliary systems), fan coolers all in JV assets.
  • Supervises the implementation of both major and minor shutdowns of equipment and improvement projects, to ensure their safe, cost-effective and timely execution in accordance with established Company standards and specifications.
  • Prepares all the required procedures, planning, spares and manpower to perform the packages interventions.
  • Perform and supervise the interventions on the equipment on site.
  • Coordinates all trade tasks during a package intervention to ensure the timely completion of the packages intervention and ensure the timely handover of the equipment to Production team.
  • Review and control the standardization of intervention materials and spare parts for mechanical equipment and related systems.

  • Promote safety culture within Company personnel and contractors as well as the reporting of anomalies

Candidate Profile

  • Candidates should posses a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineer.
  • At least 12 years of experience rotating and static equipment preferably with the oil or petrochemical industries. High level of knowledge of mechanical equipment, maintenance systems and methods
  • Capability to manage HSE aspects (in particular respect of safety rules) including management of these aspects by external entities.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate existing inspection programs & strategies for each facility and ensure it is adapted to address the age/actual status of the facilities.
  •  Act as focal point for inspection cost optimization by performing periodic reviews of inspection processes, methodology, planning and propose strategy to optimize Inspection effort / cost.
  • Prepare inspection procedures, written schemes of examination for validation.
