Job Title: Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer

Job Description

  • As a Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer at Paga, you will be responsible for broad technical design, implementation and administration of numerous platform services on Paga’s cloud infrastructure. You will be expected to be able to effectively assume independent ownership for the operation of significant components or areas of the cloud infrastructure, to successfully help the organization scale efficiently, and cost-effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Be able to quickly grasp abstract concepts and translate them into appropriately cloud systems solutions.
  • Be comfortable taking ownership for broad and important areas of cloud solution design and implementation.
  • Be a core business resource for both decision making in the business that has platform relevance.
  • Be meticulous about scripting and testing solutions to foster knowledge transfers, scalability and repeatability.
  • Be a “performance maven”, focused on highly-performant delivery of system resources in as cost-efficient a manner as possible.
  • Clearly understand and effectively weigh business trade-offs in decision-making.
  • Be able to multitask well and be comfortable juggling multiple product-development streams at once. Be comfortable with rapid change and be comfortable taking ownership to deliver results in a high-pressure product development environment.
  • Have a passion for quality and an ability and willingness to grow the ability of others in your team to meet those standards. Drive quality delivery across teams with which you work.
  • Communicate clearly and transparently.
  • Be comfortable operating at both a high and deep-dive (low) levels of abstraction.
  • Vision & Strategic Leadership – Help develop and grow the technical vision for the Paga platform and engage meaningfully in the strategic development of the overall business. Engage directly in business strategic leadership when it relates to platform solutions
  • Broad-scoped Technical Ownership – Independently own/oversee major areas of the cloud platform infrastructure including planning, architecting, operating, monitoring. Own responsibility for key delivery criteria such as availability, performance, reliability, cost, security and maintainability for large portions of the cloud infrastructure.
  • Technical Leadership – Provide technical leadership to foster a motivated and productive small team of platform engineers. Contribute continuously to the professional growth of other more junior peers. Provide broad-scoped yet in-depth review of the work of teammates and reports.
  • Process Leadership –Drive development and improvement of technical product development processes in collaborations with the other product development teams.
  • Partner Engagement – Working effectively with industry/ecosystem partners to accomplish business goals related to the platform.

Requirements

  • A degree in a related discipline
  • 5+ years continuous experience working on enterprise platform engineering and 3+ years of cloud platform implementation/administration
  • While we use an increasingly diverse software and platform stack, the following technologies and skills are most heavily used and therefore required to have extensive experience in:
    • Azure cloud services and management
    • Kubernetes cluster management
    • Docker containerization frameworks, deployment & management
    • Jenkins CI/CD environment implementation and management
    • Java application deployment and Tomcat
    • Infrastructure as code practices
    • Microservice architecture concepts
    • Relational DB architecture and administration (SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
    • Application performance monitoring solutions (e.g. Prometheus).

  • As Business Data Analyst you will be a vital member of Paga’s business units, which have the aim of combining product and marketing data with business acumen to drive consumer adoption and retention, in partnership with business partners across the organizations.
  • In this role you will be expected to possess and use a mix of strategic, analytical, and administrative skills, providing support and data-driven direction to all within the Growth team.
  • The Business Data Analyst at Paga is a hybrid of traditional roles in strategy, product marketing, and business intelligence. In this dynamic role, you will be at our center of truth – consumer behavior and transaction data.
  • You will be charged with qualitative and quantitative consumer research, analysis with systemization of trends, crafting actionable insights, project management, measurement, and reporting; all in a bid to ensure the business goals of consumer acquisition and retention are achieved sustainably.
  • You’ll be expected to collaborate closely with stakeholders across the company, and deliverables will be in the form of driving execution on your strategic recommendations.
  • The successful candidate will possess a passion for innovative analysis, strong communication skills, processes that scale, and the wherewithal to develop findings and recommendations that transcend the numbers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop, evaluate, and report targeted marketing strategies and initiatives
  • Develop a wide variety of models to predict and better understand consumer behaviour
  • Design and launch experiments, determine campaign targeting strategies, and develop category-specific KPIs, forecasts, and goals
  • Conduct user/transaction analysis
  • Conduct market and consumer behaviour trend analysis
  • Keep abreast of industry and market trends
  • Build dashboards, reports, and alerting systems for the ongoing analysis and monitoring of marketing campaigns, categories, and channels
  • Identify process and system improvement opportunities by monitoring existing metrics, analysing data and partnering with internal teams as needed
  • Support the ongoing analysis of business performance required to inform marketing and product development decisions on a day-to-day basis
  • Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal business partners and external vendors, to improve strategies and make recommendations.
  • Work collaboratively with consumer insights/data analysts/data scientists to translate data into insights and outcomes that the domain can leverage
  • Managing ongoing delivery of data and insights from existing tracking and internal data
  • Create reports and dashboards visualizing the output of analyses
  • Communicate insights using data visualization and presentations to stakeholders
  • Other roles as assigned by the Growth leadership.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 2.1 is required.
  • At least 3 years’ relevant experience in data analysis.
  • Must be able to work in a high-velocity, high performance environment.
  • An understanding of Financial services, particularly Money Transfer and Mobile commerce
  • Creative thinking and innovative approach to solving challenges
  • Active listening skills
  • Knowledgeable/Comfortable with technology
  • Must have completed the mandatory NYSC.

Key Competencies:

  • Data Fluency: Expert quantitative analysis and logical reasoning; 3+ years of experience using database languages (e.g. SQL or BigQuery) and visualization tools (PowerBI and Tableau) on large data sets to extract trends and insights.
  • Excellent use of Microsoft excel and the rest of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Hands-on experience conducting customer segmentation, cohort performance, and product funnel analyses preferred.
  • Strong focus on metrics to measure and demonstrate success.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills along with the resilience and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal, non-verbal and written.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Achieve commercial targets – the account manager has the ownership of achieving the overall commercial targets set for the territory of coverage. The targets include but are not limited to active merchant recruitment, Merchant retention and Revenue.
  • Proactively acquire new FMCG merchants and deepen existing relationships, by building a healthy pipeline of prospects using approved sales CRM tools.
  • Develop a solid and trusting relationship between major key FMCG clients and the company
  • Regular virtual meetings with FMCG merchants or sales visits to demonstrate and present Doroki product offerings.
  • Develop in-store visibility plans for Doroki in collaboration with FMCG merchants’ management; and follow up to achieve timely & effective implementation.

  • Work with support teams to ensure that FMCG businesses get adequate support and proper communication to drive satisfaction and usage
  • Conduct regular spot checks on merchant activities and share feedback with the team
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
  • Analyse data using available tools/dashboard
  • Understand, utilise, and support the service architecture created for the support of Key Doroki merchants
  • Give timely updates or gather market intelligence on Doroki service efficiency and effectiveness and channel issues and concerns to the appropriate unit
  • Pilot new services initiatives for key Doroki merchants and provide feedback for enhancements
  • Identifies service enhancements/service improvements, document them and discuss them with the line manager
  • Conduct periodic surveys on merchants for service improvement
  • Use trends to engage proactively, and support key merchant business by introducing new ways to optimize channels.
  • Generates and reports daily/ weekly key merchant Performance to the line manager
  • Work with the marketing team and line manager, to ensure proper branding support is delivered to key merchants on time

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college
  • Previous experience working in the FMCG or Service industry
  • Must be able to work in a high-velocity, high performance environment.
  • Must be able to develop and communicate competitive landscape analysis
  • Proficient in the use of sales CRM tools.
  • At least 5 years’ relevant experience in B2B sales
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Provide outstanding customer service
