Job Title: Hotel Night Manager
Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Description
- A Hotel Night Manager oversees hotel operations during nighttime hours, ensuring smooth functioning and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Guest Services: Handling check-ins, check-outs, guest requests, and complaints.
- Security & Safety: Ensuring the safety of guests and staff, monitoring security procedures, and handling emergencies.
- Operations Management: Supervising night staff, coordinating housekeeping, and addressing maintenance issues.
- Financial Duties: Managing night audits, processing financial transactions, and reconciling accounts.
- Compliance: Ensuring adherence to hotel policies, health and safety regulations, and industry standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Previous experience in hotel management, front office, or night audit roles (typically 2-5 years).
- Experience in customer service, conflict resolution, and financial reconciliation.

- A Hotel Cashier is responsible for handling financial transactions at the hotel’s front desk, restaurant, or other service areas.
- They ensure accurate billing, process payments, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining financial records.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Transactions & Payments:
- Process check-in and check-out payments, room charges, and other guest expenses.
- Handle cash, credit/debit cards, and digital transactions securely and accurately.
- Issue receipts, refunds, or adjustments as necessary.
Billing & Financial Reconciliation:
- Prepare and verify guest invoices and folios.
- Balance cash drawers and reconcile daily transactions.
- Assist with night audits and financial reporting.
Customer Service & Support:
- Address guest inquiries regarding billing, charges, and hotel services.
- Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
- Provide information about promotions, discounts, and special offers.
Compliance & Security:
- Ensure adherence to hotel policies and financial regulations.
- Maintain the confidentiality of guest and financial information.
- Report discrepancies or suspicious activities to management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (a degree in hospitality or accounting is a plus).
- Experience in cash handling, hotel front desk, or accounting (preferred).
- Strong numerical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Opera, Fidelio, PMS).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities
Front Desk Operations:
- Welcome guests warmly and assist with check-in and check-out procedures.
- Process room assignments, key issuance, and payments accurately.
- Maintain guest records and update profiles in the hotel management system.
Guest Assistance & Customer Service:
- Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns professionally.
- Provide information on hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
- Handle special requests such as room upgrades, late check-outs, or special accommodations.
Reservations & Billing:
- Manage room reservations and cancellations efficiently.
- Process payments, issue invoices, and ensure accurate billing.
- Assist with night audits and daily financial reconciliation as needed.
Problem Resolution & Communication:

- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to fulfill guest needs.

Compliance & Professionalism:
- Adhere to hotel policies, safety procedures, and service standards.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Uphold confidentiality and security measures regarding guest information.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Hospitality Management is a plus.
- Previous experience in front desk, guest services, or customer service (preferred).
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Opera, PMS) and basic computer skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and multitask effectively.
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to guest satisfaction.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Multilingual skills (preferred but not required).
