- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and economic data to assess applicants’ financial health.
- Evaluate credit history, payment trends, and debt levels to determine credit risk.
- Assess market conditions and industry trends that may impact borrowers’ ability to repay.
Financial Analysis & Decision-Making:
- Develop credit models and scoring systems to assess risk levels.
- Recommend credit limits, loan terms, and interest rates based on risk evaluation.
- Conduct cash flow analysis and financial forecasting for borrowers.
Loan & Portfolio Management:
- Monitor existing credit accounts to identify early warning signs of financial distress.
- Assist in structuring loans to balance profitability and risk mitigation.
- Ensure compliance with company credit policies and regulatory requirements.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare detailed credit reports and risk assessments for senior management and lenders.
- Maintain records of credit analysis, approvals, and rejections.
- Support internal and external audits related to credit assessments.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with sales, risk management, and finance teams to ensure smooth lending processes.
- Communicate with clients to gather financial data and clarify credit concerns.
- Provide recommendations for improving credit policies and risk management strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 4 years of experience in credit analysis, risk management, banking, or lending.
- Certificationsa plus.
Key Skills:
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Knowledge of credit risk assessment techniques and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in financial software, credit scoring tools, and Microsoft Excel.
