Job Title: Head of Facilities Management, Africa

About You and The Role
- Zipline seeks an exceptional Head of Facilities Management to oversee the operational integrity and efficiency of Zipline’s office and operational facilities across five countries: Ghana, Rwanda, Nigeria, Côte d’Ivoire, and Kenya as well as others as the company grows.
- This role is critical to ensuring efficient and safe operations as well and fostering a world class working environment for the cross functional teams that rely on these spaces.
- The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in facility coordination, maintenance oversight, mechanical engineering and team leadership to enhance operational performance and cost effectiveness across all locations.
Key Responsibilities
Key asset maintenance:
- Developing best practices for the team to track and maintain key moveable and immovable assets, ensuring correct use, maintenance, repair and spare parts across 14 individual locations.
Driving Workplace Safety:
- You will ensure that all facilities adhere to both local and organizational safety standards by supervising the development and execution of comprehensive safety protocols.
- You will regularly monitor safety performance and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain a secure working environment.
Leading Functional Development:
- You will build and cultivate a highly skilled, resource-efficient facilities team by driving training, skill-building initiatives, and continuous professional development.
- You will promote operational excellence and the efficient use of resources, contributing to the long-term success and scalability of Zipline’s operations.
Administering Documentation and Reporting:
- You oversee facility-related documentation and records, ensuring that all necessary communications, reports, and action items are managed accurately and promptly.
- You will maintain an organized filing system for all facility-related documents and support the coordination of virtual meetings and appointments.
Stakeholder Coordination and Engagement:
- You will facilitate high-level coordination and communication between cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership.
- You will organize and lead meetings with internal and external parties to align priorities and ensure that all facility operations meet Zipline’s strategic objectives.
Requirements
- Education: Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Industrial Engineering Degree preferred
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management or a related field, preferably at a manufacturing plant, commercial property or public utility.
- Expertise: Strong proficiency in facilities operations, maintenance and asset management, energy optimization, construction and permitting. Demonstrated ability to optimize facility performance and drive operational efficiency in a multi-country setting.
- Leadership: Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage remote teams effectively, ensuring performance excellence while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Communication: Superior written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, both remotely and in-person.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in general data analysis, thermodynamics, capacity planning and engineering drawing interpretation.
- License: A valid driver’s license with the ability to drive a manual vehicle. Passport also required.

Job Title: Head of Finance

About you and the Role
- As Head of Finance for Zipline Africa, you will be a core member of Zipline’s Africa Leadership Team, responsible for driving financial strategy, operational efficiency, and growth initiatives across our Africa operations. Reporting into our US-based Global Head of Finance, you will work closely with our local finance and accounting teams to ensure Zipline’s financial health and scalability across multiple African markets.
- This role requires a seasoned finance leader with international experience and expertise in managing the financial complexities of scaling a high-growth, operations-intensive business. You will be instrumental in developing strategic analyses to enhance profitability and scalability for Zipline’s Platform 1 business in Africa.
What You’ll Do
Financial Strategy & Leadership:
- Act as a strategic partner to Zipline’s Africa leadership team, advising on financial planning, investment decisions, and business growth initiatives.
- Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis to optimize financial resources and ensure the sustainability of Zipline’s Africa operations.
- Identify and implement cost-saving and efficiency strategies to improve profitability while maintaining operational excellence.
- Develop long-term financial models to assess different market strategies and guide expansion efforts.
Accounting & Compliance:
- Partner with local accounting teams to improve financial reporting accuracy, streamline processes, and ensure timely financial close cycles.
- Work with Zipline’s US-based finance leadership to standardize financial practices across global operations.
- Participate in audit processes and liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure transparency and compliance.
- Coordinate with local and US-based Tax advisors to ensure Tax compliance across entities
Operational Finance & Business Partnering:
- Serve as a financial thought leader for Zipline’s operations in Africa, helping local teams navigate financial complexities and drive sustainable growth.
- Partner with engineering, supply chain, logistics, and deployment teams to ensure cost-effective operations and strong unit economics.
- Work closely with government, donor and commercial partners to structure financially viable contracts and partnerships.
Scaling & Profitability of Zipline’s Business:
- Conduct strategic financial analysis to enhance the scalability and profitability of Zipline’s Platform 1 operations in Africa.
- Develop insights into market expansion opportunities, pricing strategies, and operational efficiencies to drive sustainable business growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the financial feasibility of launching new products and services in Africa.
- Develop roadmaps and strategies for Zipline to launch Platform 2 in Africa
What You’ll Bring
- 8+ years of experience in finance, including 2+ years in a financial leadership role within a multinational or high-growth company.
- Knowledge of accounting principals and direct experience working with IFRS and local accounting regulations in African markets.
- Experience managing financial operations for an international company with African market exposure.
- Proven ability to partner with in-country finance and accounting teams while partnering with global finance leadership.
- Excellent financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic analysis skills.
- Experience working with operations-heavy businesses (e.g., supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing).
- Ability to influence executive stakeholders and work cross-functionally across finance, operations, and commercial teams.

Job Title: Flight Operator
Location: Ogoja, Cross River
Job type: Fixed-term contract

About You and The Role
- As a member of Zipline’s Flight Operations team in Nigeria, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that the delivery of medical products to health facilities is done safely and on time.
- This will involve working with a team of flight operators to conduct regular preflight inspections, launching, and recovery of the drones (aircraft).
- You’ll learn how to effectively and safely handle zip components, assembling and disassembling components right after recovery.
- You’ll be expected to provide feedback and ideas to the flight operators on how to make our operations safer and ultimately help us scale to 400+ deliveries per day.
- Safety is your priority: your goal is to never harm people or property and report potential safety risks ahead of time.
Responsibilities
- Launch and Recovery: You will be responsible for the safe assembly of drones in preparation for flights, perform critical checks, communicate with Zipline controllers in readiness for flight, launch and disassemble drones on return to the Distribution Center
- Collaboration: Work with a team to scale drone deliveries at our distribution center.

- Candidates should possess an OND / HND in Engineering, Computer Science/Technology, Physics, Mathematics relevant field

These responsibilities encompass picking and packing orders, conducting cycle counts, completing checklists, and ensuring the overall organization and cleanliness of the warehouse.
- This role demands attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols and standard operating procedures, as well as the ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Receipt, Storage, and Audits:
- Accurately receive inventory into the Zipline inventory management software system.
- Utilize inventory management systems to track and record all movements of goods.
- Ensure the received inventory is stored properly within the required storage locations and conditions (temperature requirements).
- Assist in the periodic completion of Stock audits and audit reconciliations.
Picking and Packing:
- Accurately pick products from storage based on incoming orders
- Pack and label picked orders accurately ensuring items are securely packaged while following the standard operating procedures
