Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and optimize CNC programs for milling, turning, and other machining operations.
- Translate engineering drawings and CAD models into accurate CNC instructions.
- Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and quality control teams to ensure production accuracy and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot programming or machining issues and implement solutions.
- Maintain and update CNC programs to improve productivity and reduce waste.
Requirements
- Certified in machining and CNC programming.
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer in a manufacturing or oil & gas environment.
- Certifications in machining, CNC programming.
- Understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

Job Description
- Are you an experienced machining professional with expertise in API threading, CNC operations, machining, refurbishment, and fabrication? Our client is seeking a Machine Shop Manager to lead and oversee machine shop operations in Nigeria and Ghana while ensuring quality, safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise machining, threading, fabrication, and repair operations across multiple locations.
- Manage CNC and manual machining in line with API 5CT, API 7-1, API 7-2, and DS1 standards.
- Plan and prioritize machining activities based on workload and machine availability.
- Ensure precision, correct tooling selection, and adherence to engineering drawings.
- Improve operational efficiency by reducing downtime, scrap, rework, and tooling consumption.
- Collaborate with QA/QC to resolve non-conformances and maintain quality standards.
- Promote a strong safety culture.
- Train, mentor, and develop machinists and technicians.
Requirements
- B.Sc / HND in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 10 years’ machining experience in an oil & gas machine shop.
- Strong hands-on CNC and manual machining skills.
- In-depth knowledge of API threading standards.
- Excellent leadership, planning, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail with a strong safety mindset.
