Job Title: Engineering – Drilling Project OI Advisor III
Location: Nigeria
Main Functions
- The Drilling Offshore Installation (OI) Project Advisor is responsible for supporting drilling operations regarding Safety, Security, Health, and Environment (SSHE) issues.
- The Advisor serves as a contact for SSHE issues related to Drilling Project-based activities, executing initiatives, developing and executing programs/plans, and responding to requests and questions from the drill team.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Provide Company SSHE representation for the project, in addition to rig sites and rig move and transport operations ensuring full communication of concerns, activities and initiatives
- Develop and maintain site orientation/induction program
- Develop programs, plans, initiatives, e.g. Operations SSHE Plan, Drill Team SSHE Leadership Forums, Site Stewardship Plans, Emergency Management Plan, etc.
- Monitor contractor/service partner compliance with all company drilling. SSHE requirements and specifically the Drill Team/Rig “Operations Safety
- Plan,” advising contractors/service partner and Operations Superintendents of SSHE issues.
- Conduct an OI system (oi)OI systemce and audcompliance audits.rt to rig sites/locations in the event of an incident with regards to reporting, advice on mitigation and prevention methods, etc.
- Develop and maintain safety related training for contractor work crews
- Facilitate regular SSHE inspection, assessments and audit on-site in accordance with established Company SSHE programs or as requested by the site team .
- Monitor the safety performance of the sites and report non-conformances
- Monitor Company safety awareness, recognition and incentive programs
- Review and coordinate site contractor’s SSHE plans .
- Participate as required in investigation and follow-up of incidents/accidents
- Facilitate the Drill Team SSHE safety steering committees
- Identify trends to develop programs and/or initiatives to promote an injury free work environment
- Conduct rig inspections with Operations Superintendent and Rig Safety Advisor
- Continually bring to the forefront of all employees, the Company Vision and how it can be achieved
- Attend all Drill Team daily/weekly SSHE meetings
- Relentlessly, aggressively, and proactively address any safety trends and/or safety issues that poses or could pose a risk to the workface.

Job Title: Telecoms Maintenance Engineer

Description
- Carry out technical engineering studies for the design, installation and standardization of Telecom systems, mast, earthing, etc. in line with specifications and GS TEL installation rules.
- Operation and maintenance of the following field systems and equipment: PA/GA, CCTV, GMDSS, Access control, Radar with AIS, UHF/VHF Radios, Satellite TV, Line of site/Non-line of site microwave links: WiMAX, 4G/LTE, Radar Beacon (RACON), Non-Directional Beacon (NBD), Video conference, Infrastructure monitoring systems
- Prepares technical specifications and scope of work to approved standards for various Telecoms projects (O&G,
- evolution/revamp), evaluate technical bids and prepares evaluation reports and supervise the project deployment.
- Prepare specifications for telecommunications service contracts and required equipment/services needed to perform the Annual Maintenance Contract for Telecoms critical equipment to maintain high availability and reliability.
- Carry out routine telecommunication assessment visit and propose improvements
- Supervise offshore Telecom specialists and assist in carrying out of maintenance activities on Telecom systems
- Prepare technical reports, assisting in development of the 5-year work program, evaluating equipment obsolescence and propose replacement plan, update engineering and technical documents and manuals.
- Preparation of technical dossier (Scope of work) to request for quotation from contractors regarding telecommunication projects, and specific operations on systems.
- Propose Improvement of the quality of service provided by the Telecommunication Contractors for systems maintenance.
- Participate in supervision of third-party contractor on site to ensure compliance to installation rules
- Recommend and implement appropriate solutions for operational problems/anomalies of Telecommunication Equipment/Systems at Field.
- Actively participate in FAT, Commissioning activities for all Telecoms equipment and systems, and prepares punch lists and follow-up the progress of the punch list.
- Participates in various commercial activities as required, coordinates the inspection of materials, evaluates technical offers prepares Service Orders, answers technical queries from suppliers.
Job Requirements
- Minimum University Degree B.Sc. (Second Class lower) or HND (Distinction) degree in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering.
- 15years of hands-on experience in both Enterprise Data-Network Environment & Operational Projects Management
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in telecommunication or network engineering, operation, and maintenance.
- Good reporting, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge and use of computer drawing and office applications.

- Records ALL events and relevant well parameters before, during and after operations.

- Provide technical reports on specific well problems, investigation and report job failures and advise for operations improvement.
- Proactive in the management and coordination of the operations and service providers at the wellsite; using pre-job meetings, active monitoring, Toolbox Talks & Time Out for Safety, as appropriate, to ensure that all personnel are aware of the operational objectives and key areas of concern or risk.
- Responsible for preparing Well Handover Documents.
- Reports immediately all anomalies to his direct Supervisor
- Writes detailed work instructions as per approved well program, ensures completion equipment is prepared, is fit for purpose and meets well timelines.
- Ensures risk assessments are carried out prior to the completion operations.
- Raises management of change request when deviation from program is required.
- Proposes new ideas and innovations to improve well performance, well operations performance, reduce risk and/or cost.
Job Requirements
- Candidates should possess an HND or BSc in Engineering domain with >1-year site working experience
- Team spirit and good interpersonal skills. Good English oral, written presentation and communication skill.
- Basic experience in operations contracts management and well site drilling expenses basics.
- In-depth knowledge of well completion, surface well test equipment, well intervention, and general drilling and completion techniques.
- Excellent analytical, reporting, communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to demonstrate problem-solving skills for process and technical issues.
- Sound knowledge of the local regulations (and best practices) governing well operations.
- Possess the following certifications:
- BOSIET /THUET certificate and annual medical examination certificate.
