Job Title: Auditor

Location: Warri, Delta
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Your key responsibilities involve examining accounting records, generating compliance reports, and overseeing the financial workflows of the branch.
  • Conduct regular and rigorous regulatory audits.
  • Identify and raise potential issues, identifying areas of improvement to elude probable regulatory breaches and enhance operational integrity.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the regulatory environment
  • Collaborate with internal departments, fostering a positive culture of regulatory awareness and ensuring compliance measures are integrated into daily operations.
  • Report findings, insights, and recommendations to senior management, ensuring informed decision-making and proactive resolution of compliance matters.
  • Follow through on action plans to ensure that the risk of non-compliance to regulatory standards is kept to the bare minimum if not completely eliminated.
  • Diligently keep a systematic check on the company’s spending to improve organizational efficiency.
  • Conduct periodic value for money audit on purchases to ascertain price, utilization and existence.
  • Review the branch monthly payroll schedules prepared by the Accounts Department and ensure accuracy and correctness.
  • Conduct periodic audit on the branch inventory.
  • Review the internal control at the branch to ascertain its adequacy and report to management suggestions for possible improvement.
  • Execute periodic operational audits for the branch. Visit various departments regularly for auditory reviews and assessment.
  • Prepare all documents related to audit finance.
  • Conduct and attend regular meetings with senior management to share financial findings.
  • Keep a check on processes and regulations, ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations.
  • Provide a qualitative and quantitative evaluation based on empirical data findings.
  • Work closely with the Director and COO to increase the financial efficiency of the company.

Requirements

  • Minimum academic qualification of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
  • ACCA/ICAN Certification is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 4 years audit experience.
  • Be able to deliver within stipulated timelines.
  • Be analytical and data-driven.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

Job Title: Audit Assistant

Locations: Warri and Ughelli, Delta

Job Description 

  • Responsible for the analysis of financial transactions, especially receipt and overages/shortages reported by storekeeper, supervisors and purchasers, including trending, corrections, and reporting to Internal Auditor.
  • Works with Internal Auditor to ensure daily reviews are completed accurately and timely.
  • Works with Store Operations and procurement department.
  • to ensure store procedures are clear and up to date relative to transactions, special receipts, and overages/shortages.
  • Ensure that all expenses reported by the company are accurate and are in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Administers the store audit process.
  • Track payments made by the company to vendors and ensure complete payment records are maintained.
  • Analyze expenses and ensure they are accurate and compliant with policies and procedures
  • Assist with payroll review.
  • Recommends new reporting to accommodate changes in the business environment and/or additional requests from internal or external departments.
  • Ensures the monthly calendar sales close process is completed timely and all accounting entries are accurate and loaded within the strict timeline.
  • Complete daily cash reconciliation from the cash sweep and credit card settlement process, and ensuring all entries are accounted for and added to the monthly reconciliation process.

Education, Experience & Attribute

  • Minimum of HND, OND in respective areas of study as indicated.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience.
  • Cognate experience as an audit assistant/auditor.
  • Honesty, commitment, hardworking and self-motivation
