About the Scholarship
- The scholarship initiative is in continuation of our goal to support the dreams and aspirations of Nigerian youths, as we have been doing over the years through various activities such as Youth Leadership Series (YLS), Higher Institution Football League (HIFL), Together4ALimb, Digital Skill Empowerment Programme (DiSEP), Adopt-A-School, and so on.
- The scholarship programme is aimed at encouraging hard work and academic excellence amongst Nigerian undergraduates, and it is open to students who participated in the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and have gained admission into any Nigerian State or Federal University.
- In the words of Kunle Adedeji, Acting Chief Executive, Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC, the organisation recognises the importance and impact of education in the life of every Nigerian youth. According to him: “Education remains the most powerful catalyst for transformation, both for individuals and for our nation.
- Through our scholarship programme, we’re not simply funding tuition—we’re investing in Nigeria’s future leaders, innovators, and change-makers who will shape the trajectory of our country for decades to come.”
Application Requirements
The following documents are required for the 2024/2025 Stanbic IBTC University Scholarship:
- Recent Passport Photograph
- Valid ID Card- NIN slip, voter’s card, birth certificate or international passport
- 2024 UTME Result with a minimum score of 250

The deadline for the scholarship application is 11:59 pm on Tuesday, 16 September 2025. Any extension of the deadline would be communicated on our platforms.
