Job Description:
The role entails ensuring accurate reporting and analysis of the company’s financial transactions, effectively managing financial resources, and recommending strategies to optimize operational costs and enhance profitability.
Responsibilities:
– Collaborate with the GCFO to develop and implement financial and accounting policies, procedures, and strategies.
– Formulate annual plans, budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics.
– Establish company-wide standards for systems, data, and processes.
– Design and implement a robust accounting framework to ensure compliance with tax and statutory regulations.
– Maintain financial controls across company operations.
– Coordinate financial transactions and account consolidation.
– Prepare comprehensive and timely financial and management reports.
– Reconcile intra-group balances and resolve variances.
– Liaise with regulatory bodies, auditors, banks, etc.
– Oversee tax computation, insurance premiums, and other statutory obligations.
– Provide technical training and guidance on financial accounting matters.
– Review weekly reports and present updates to the GCFO.
– Ensure strict adherence to Corporate Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Policy.
Qualifications and Requirements:
– Minimum B.Sc/HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree is an added advantage.
– Professional Qualification: Chartered Accountant with recognized Accounting Certifications (CIMA, ACA, ICAN, ACCA).
– Experience: 10+ years, including at least 4 years in a leadership role.
