Job Description

  • We are seeking for a full-time, qualified, and reliable Accountant who will be multitasking on several fronts to ensure operational effectiveness and departmental efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform professional level accounting duties according to generally accepted accounting principles by compiling, analyzing, and reporting monthly financial data
  • Review, analyze and accurately record all company income and expenditures such as payroll, petty cash, and departmental expenses
  • Perform quarterly audits, resolve discrepancies and maintain a high-level overview of the company’s financial operations
  • Record and report all financial transactions daily, monthly and yearly from managing invoices, purchase orders, cash flow to month-end reports
  • Skilled in the use of accounting software and school management software. This also includes necessary skill in the use of Microsoft’s Excel and Word software
  • Optimize the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance company cash position
  • Perform bank account reconciliations and ensure prompt payment of all bank transactions
  • Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes a minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs
  • Maintain accurate financial records
  • Skilled in Cybersecurity best practices and awareness to detect phishing attempts aimed at financial compromise.

  • You will be responsible for the timely management and maintenance of school equipments/facilities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversees building maintenance and operational programs. Work to ensure that all school facilities are operational and ready for school activities daily.
  • Manage all vendor contracts and oversee the operation of vendor staff (cleaning, security, etc.)
  • Ensure the efficiency of all building systems and work with vendors (electrical, plumbing, etc.) to ensure that all faulty units are quickly repaired.
  • Maintain a safe work environment for all employees and coordinate monthly site safety programs and drills to ensure the readiness of students and staff to quickly evacuate to safe location in the event of any hazard.
  • Manage facilities planning and space allocation and prepare cost estimates for moves and equipment
  • Manage maintenance and cleanliness of school grounds and ensure all utility systems are inspected, bills paid on time and always available during the core hours of school operation.
  • Coordinating building security and maintenance services with the cleaning crew and security personnel whilst overseeing all building functions, maintenance issues and schedules.

  • Analyze the school’s Primary operations to evaluate its performance to meet objectives, identify and recommend areas of program improvement, or policy change.
  • Promote a back-to-basics learning environment while adhering to all Glowfield International School’s policies and procedures.
  • Create a safe structured environment, focused on academic excellence, creativity, community and character.
  • Leadership, supervision and coaching of all employees whilst modelling positive character, virtues, and habits.
  • Implement effective discipline and attendance systems that have high standards and are consistent with the mission and vision of the school.
  • Collaborate and clearly communicate with parents/guardians and other educators, creating a cooperative relationship in support of the students.
  • Work with the Quality Assurance team and all stakeholders to ensure that the Primary arm of the school is performing beyond expectation and teachers are well trained/mentored and monitored in the performance of their duties.
  • Participate in curriculum development or oversight as required whilst actively engaging in school/staff meetings and performing other duties as assigned by management.
  • Collect, analyze, interpret, and deliver data with reports and presentations on the Primary arm of the school to the school’s Director.
