We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Fixed Equipment Strategy Specialist II – Engineering
Location: Nigeria
Employment Type: Contract
Work Schedule: Standard 5 days on, 2 Days Off
Main Functions
- The prime objective for the Fixed Equipment Strategy Specialist is to co-ordinate and facilitate fixed equipment strategy development for the site.
- The role also provides materials engineering support for routine and turnaround activities for the site.
Tasks and Responsibilities
In addition to Level 1 tasks and responsibilities, Level 2:
- Manages the facility-wide maintenance function to ensure the availability of safe, responsive, high quality, repair and maintenance services including preventive, routine, non-routine and emergency capabilities.
- Provide necessary development, motivation, coordination and internal cooperation for groups/individuals under his/her control in order to maximize efficiency.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering within discipline or equivalent professional experience
- Strong knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria
- Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs
- Read, write, and speak fluent English, especially as it applies to technical and business communications

Job Title: Instrumentation and Controls Engineer III
Location: Nigeria
Employment Type: Contract
Main Functions
- Evaluate and comment on discipline engineering work performed both internally and by Contractors and sub- contractors to ensure that work is being executed in accordance with project specifications, company standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitates effective execution of discipline engineering and design routines that align with the project’s goals, objectives, and procedures.
- Assures accurate and timely communication among the Project Team and other Company functions on discipline engineering activities, progress, and issues. In addition to technical ability, they should demonstrate sound communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
Tasks and Responsibilities
In addition to the Level 1 and 2 tasks and responsibilities, Level 3:
- Execute control system life cycle management programs which include control system inventory, obsolescence plans, managing spare parts and upgrade/replacement planning
- Support control system maintenance and test planning as required, software upgrades, ESD testing, offline and online testing, and coordination of activities with/without plant shutdowns
- Support metering systems maintenance planning including for custody transfer, allocation, regulatory, and leak detection applications
- Support planning and coordination of tasks related to control system cyber security
- Review systems for compliance with company’s Industrial Control System Requirements (ICSR) to minimize cybersecurity threats
- Participate with multi-disciplinary alarm management efforts including alarm rationalization, prioritization, development of state based alarm schemes, and design / modification of alarm systems
- Review update and develop instrument and controls technical documentation / drawings including P&IDs, cause and effect, and control narratives
- Travel to production affiliate office/facility locations for onsite support or rollout of new global support initiatives
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or M.Sc Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related engineering specialty, or equivalent professional experience
- Extensive knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria
- Able to review, evaluate, and update cause and effect, P&IDs, logic and architecture diagrams and control narratives
- Experience in selection, application, and ISA data sheet specification of hardware including pressure/ temperature /level instruments, control valves, shutdown valves, and fire/gas detection
- Proficient in data collection and analysis with common database and software data analysis tools such as
- SAP, Analytics for Excel and Tableau
- Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs
- Read, write, and speak fluent English, especially as it applies to technical and business communications.

Job Title: Process Engineer II
Location: Nigeria
Employment Type: Contract
- Lead a design team in the development of basic process design specifications or provide oversight of an engineering contractor’s technical deliverables during the front end design / detailed engineering phases of projects.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and lead junior engineers in the development of process design specifications, including the development of heat & material balances, design flow plans, process equipment design, preliminary hydraulic balances, utility balances, basic process control & instrumentation, materials selection, safety facilities
- Lead and/or perform process optimization studies to identify / evaluate capital / operating cost savings, process configuration alternatives, safety facilities requirements, etc.
- Provide technical oversight for engineering contractor’s work during front end engineering & design / detailed engineering to ensure consistency with Company methods & guidelines, project specifications & owner’s requirements
- Participate in Hazard & Operability Reviews for new / modified facilities / in support of existing plant facilities
- Provide commissioning & start-up assistance for new / modified facilities, as required
- Establish organization and staffing process
Requirements
- BSc degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent, required
- Experience in petroleum refining/chemical process industry / with an engineering contractor serving these industries
- Capital project development experience
- Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs
- Read, write, and speak fluent English, especially as it applies to technical and business communications

- Evaluate / comment work performed by the Contractor and sub-contractors to insure that the work is being executed in accordance with Company specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. Includes review of discipline design drawings and documents
- Identify and assess deviations to Contract Technical Specifications and regulatory requirements; ensure that such deviations will be processed according to Company procedures; maintains Deviation Control Log.
- Steward discipline engineering queries from the Contractor and sub-contractors as well as technical information requests
- Keep Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager informed of discipline engineering progress, deviations, and execution concerns
- Participate in discipline engineering reviews at Contractor’s and subcontractor’s locations
- Drives and promotes capital efficiency in engineering design
- Support internal engineering general interest or Global Practice initiatives as requested by Supervisor.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent professional experience
