Job Title: Field Operator III

LocationNigeria

Description

  • Operate equipment and wells by applying operating and safety procedures and guidelines to meet daily operational plan, reduce equipment failure and efficient resources administration.
  • Responsible to implement on daily work objectives, housekeeping, safety, health, environmental and security
  • Active participation on daily toolbox meetings and regular, reported safety meetings
  • Identify and implement corrective and optimization actions by the continuous surveillance of wells and equipment to ensure reliable, efficient and safe operational conditions
  • Function as Equipment Care Technician, and routinely use Maintenance skills in performing simple maintenance activities
  • Report when the alarm, emergency or emergency shutdown system is out of service
  • Provide detailed, clear and accurate information when changing shift, to guarantee that unit conditions are updated and ensure operations continuity
  • Coordinate, control and monitor maintenance jobs according with the corrective, predictive and preventive planning
  • Report continuously in the log book all relevant operational events and abnormal situations or deviation occurred in the work area, equipment or personnel
  • Take samples of products for laboratory analysis and execute field laboratory tests
  • Active participation on emergency response activities
  • Report incidents internally and escalate awareness as per the Incident Reporting Guidelines
  • Ensure that Operations Shift Supervisor is informed and consulted about operations activities
  • Ensure good communication across the work team so that issues / actions can be adequately addressed
  • Provide the basic facts concerning well producing problems, current production rates, and current condition of the well
  • Ensure that the well problem diagnostics are thorough and complete before requesting Well Work intervention operations
  • Ensure that the wellhead and well surface equipment are maintained and are in good working order prior to Wellwork operations taking over responsibility for the well for intervention operations
  • Provide assistance and support to the ongoing Wellwork operations as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Completed secondary education and worked previously as a Field Technician.
  • Strong communications (oral & written)
  • High standard of Safety, Health, Environment aptitude and cultivates the same in others
  • Extensive knowledge and/or experience of pipeline operations
  • Extensive knowledge of safety and operations management tools and processes
  • Strong knowledge of Emergency Preparedness Procedures
  • Extensive knowledge of Project Philosophy and Design Specifications
  • Knowledgeable of relevant regulations
  • Knowledgeable of relevant commercial agreements.

Job Title: Drilling Engineer / Specialist I

Description

  • Provide the engineering planning, design, surveillance, and follow-up required for the safe and efficient drilling and completing of drilling programs.
  • Ensure well objectives are met while assuring the highest standards of engineering integrity, safety, and environmental protection are applied.
  • Responsible for the engineering planning, design, surveillance, and follow-up required for the safe and efficient drilling and completing of drilling programs; responsibilities include:
  • Research and understand drill well hazards by reviewing historical offset well information
  • Utilize wellbore geologic and reservoir objectives to develop a well plan
  • Prepare cost estimates for well design options
  • Identify and organize equipment required to execute the drill well plan inclusive of material selection
  • Design wells to meet regulatory requirements
  • Prepare and analyze technical bids for goods and services
  • Survey daily operations
  • Provide rig site drilling and completion surveillance and engineering assessments of critical activities
  • Provide surveillance and technical assistance for projects, equipment testing and new procedures
  • Interface with and solicit input from operations personnel to ensure well plans are feasible
  • Work closely with other functions, such as geology, reservoir and projects, to ensure that the program is based on all available information and meets well objectives
  • Depending on the program, deep water experience may be required (knowledge of subsea systems, riser analysis, subsea well control systems, etc.)

Job Requirements

  • B.Sc Degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • Experience in deep water drilling operations if filling a deep water drilling engineering position
  • Able to effectively organize and communicate thoughts
  • Experience with well design software as well as Microsoft applications
  • Read, write and speak fluent English
  • Industry experience with well planning and execution
  • Local and regional offshore experience
  • Legacy MPN experience is an advantage

Job Title: Senior Project Engineer

Location: Bonny Island, Rivers

Job Summary

  • Support the Community Project Lead with managing the interfaces and relationships between the Project team, Asset and the EPC contractor.
  • Support Community Project Lead in supervising the execution of Project’s community projects in Bonny, Finima and other communities in line with agreements reached with respective communities to ensure scope, specifications and engineering standard are followed.
  • Support Community Project Lead in supervising the execution of the contractor scope of community projects in Bonny, Finima and other communities in line with agreements reached between EPC contractor and respective communities to ensure scope, specifications and engineering standard are followed.
  • Support Community Projects Lead to ensure that the approved processes are followed during Engineering design, ITT/Bidding Stage and Project Execution.
  • Providing assurance to ensure all engineering design documents (Calculation report & Drawings) produced by third party engineering consultants are reviewed within stipulated timeline and are in line with specification and design codes.
  • Support Community Projects Lead in providing a layer of assurance to ensure engineering and construction contractors are supervised to deliver Safely to Quality, Budget, and Schedule.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Multiple stakeholders including , Asset and EPC consortia.
  • Involvement in highly complex project delivered in a remote area/Island.
  • Collaborative remote working with various worksites/offices.
  • External relationships: EPC Contractor and Community Stakeholders.
  • Timely delivery of high-quality work against very tight deadlines, maintaining excellence in analysis and task completion under pressure.  ▪Being able to manage multiple contractors and deadlines.
  • Strong personalcommitment to meeting deadlines and deliverables is an ongoing expectation.

Job Requirement
Skills & Requirements:

  • University Degree in Engineering (Civil, mechanical, or electrical) with at least 5 years and above in oil & gas
  • Must have experience in engineering design and construction supervision.
  • Proficient and conversant Engineering design codes
  • A self-starter with outstanding communication skills in English and an ability to work in a team.
  • Excellent in the use of computer applications such as Microsoft Office suite, Auto Cad,
  • Committed to HSSE and Goal Zero.
  • Certification in Project Management will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent knowledge of Niger Delta culture.

  • Ensure material is properly marked and material data sheets for each product are maintained and readily available
  • Ensure all fluid solids control equipment is working properly and set for optimal conditions for the operations in progress
  • Forecast future fluid materials needs and equipment spare needs to ensure adequate inventory exists and provide lists of additional quantities if needed
  • Ensure inventory management for materials, equipment spares and tank utilization are provided daily to the Company’s location supervisor representative
  • Ensure available storage space is effectively used to meet the requirements for the well and to optimize fluid inventory / costs
  • Ensure daily that a thorough and accurate fluid report and recommended actions are provided to the Company’s location supervisor representative
  • Work with Drilling Engineers in planning for future drill wells (writing cementing programs) and performing surveillance on active operations
  • Steward overall performance of the cementing vendor
  • Trouble shoot cementing operation. Track and close out non-conformance reports.
  • Steward lab testing of cement slurries

Job Requirements

  • B.S. degree in engineering or related technical field is preferred
  • 10+ years’ experience in deep water drilling, completions and workover
  • Experience in fluids, solids control and waste management
  • Experience in international assignments
  • Experience in deep water drilling operations (1000m) if filling a deep water drilling engineering position
  • Experience in water based and non-aqueous drilling fluids; experience with various completion fluids
  • Experience with solids control equipment and waste management
  • Able to effectively organize and communicate thoughts
  • Proficient computer skills and experience with Microsoft applications
  • Read, write and speak fluent English

Job Title: Plant / Process Operator I

Location: MHE Eket, Akwa Ibom

Main Functions

  • Responsible for liaising with the Control Room Technician (CRT) and other Operations Technicians on job safety requirements to ensure understanding of the work objectives, safety, health, environmental, oi System (oi) and security concerns.
  • Responsible for supporting the CRT/Ops Supervisor in providing oversight of the area activities and ensuring they are integrated and conducted in a safe and efficient manner. Works in a crew environment to manage activities involved with safe and efficient operation of all plant units and sulfur recovery operations. Performs surveillance of equipment.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Work cooperatively with Contractor personnel to prepare and maintain a safe work environment for their work
  • Responsible for participation in the Operations Emergency Response activities relating to the Area
  • Provide support and coordination with the Systems Completion team in start-up and commissioning of the facilities
  • Take part in the review of work packages for planned maintenance activities within allocated Area, confirms that isolation requirements are applied, and ensures that the preparation of equipment is planned in a manner that provides a safe environment in which personnel can work
  • Endorse Work Permits as the Area Operator (AO) . Endorse Work Permits as the Isolating Authority (IA) when required.
  • Encourages team effort between Maintenance and Operations groups
  • Supports work prioritization to maximize effectiveness and to complement the efforts of other work groups
  • Ensuring the CRT is informed and consulted about operations and major issues
  • Ensures good communication between Areas so that issues can be adequately addressed and actions completed
  • Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping in allocated Area
  • Maintain a daily log and shift changeover notes
  • Safely perform physical tasks at times, e.g. moving drums of chemicals, lifting, climbing ladders/silos/tanks
  • May perform minor maintenance to equipment
  • Maintain a high standard of plant housekeeping
  • Make process changes to ensure quality control of end products that are within accepted standards

Job Requirement
Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience. Either OND, HND, or bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Industry experience in operations, or similar; required
  • Very knowledgeable in production operations/processes
  • Knowledgeable in P&IDs, PFD’s and UFD’s
  • Able to read shutdown logic diagrams
  • Highest standard of Safety, Health, Environment aptitude and cultivates the same in others
  • Excellent communications (oral & written) in English
  • Good interpersonal and motivation skills
  • Ability to interact in a multi-cultural environment
  • Advanced understanding and operation of Emergency Preparedness Procedures
  • Good knowledge of safety management tools and processes. (Permit to Work (PTW), Step back 5×5, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessment)
  • Understanding of Controls Integrity (CI), safety management tools and Production Operations Best Practices (POBP)/ Planning & Budgeting (P&B) processes
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and circuits, Diesel and gas generator mechanics, Power plant equipment (e.g., switchgears, compressors, pumps, breakers), Generator and fuel systems,
  • Ability to: Operate and monitor generators safely Perform routine maintenance and inspections, Troubleshoot faults and system malfunctions in generator operations.
