Job Title: Head of Credit & Risk Management

Job Description

• Asha Microfinance Bank is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Credit & Risk to lead the Bank’s credit risk management function, ensure portfolio quality, and enforce robust risk governance in line with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Bank’s credit and risk management framework
• Oversee credit appraisal, approval, and portfolio monitoring processes
• Ensure compliance with CBN regulations and internal credit policies
• Monitor Non-Performing Loans (NPLs) and drive effective risk mitigation strategies
• Provide risk advisory support to Management and the Board
• Lead Credit Committee activities and decision-making
• Prepare and present periodic credit and risk reports
• Supervise and build capacity of the Credit & Risk team.

Requirements

• Minimum of BSc in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline
• Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, CFA, FRM) is an added advantage
• Minimum of 3-5years relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of credit risk management and CBN regulations
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and reporting skills.
