Job Description
- Asha Microfinance Bank is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Credit & Risk to lead the Bank’s credit risk management function, ensure portfolio quality, and enforce robust risk governance in line with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the Bank’s credit and risk management framework
- Oversee credit appraisal, approval, and portfolio monitoring processes
- Ensure compliance with CBN regulations and internal credit policies
- Monitor Non-Performing Loans (NPLs) and drive effective risk mitigation strategies
- Provide risk advisory support to Management and the Board
- Lead Credit Committee activities and decision-making
- Prepare and present periodic credit and risk reports
- Supervise and build capacity of the Credit & Risk team.
Requirements
- Minimum of BSc in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline
- Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, CFA, FRM) is an added advantage
- Minimum of 3-5years relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of credit risk management and CBN regulations
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and reporting skills.

- Strong knowledge of credit analysis and risk management
- Good understanding of CBN regulations
- Excellent analytical and report-writing skills.
