Bridgsite Nigeria Limited is an EPC company in the Nigerian oil & gas industry. We provide services in the area of turnaround maintenance activities. Major civil & mechanical works in gas plants and in oil & gas facilities (including CFA piles, hammered piles, jetties and platforms). Supply of technical manpower and experts. Development and indigenization of technologies and industrial process. Training of technical personnel.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accounts Payable Officer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Check the accuracy of invoices
  • Input and code invoices to the cost centre
  • Process invoices
  • Match invoices with Purchase Order (if applicable)
  • Send invoices to the Manager for payment approval
  • Schedule pay runs based on standard company payment terms
  • First point of contact with Debtors chasingpayment of invoices
  • Verify and process employee expense claims and manage the approval and payment process
  • Update and maintain vendor database promptly
  • Perform reconciliations including supplier statement reconciliations, credit card reconciliations and more
  • Support the month-end process by providing supporting documentation for month-end journals
  • Report on Aged Payables plus other ad-hoc reporting where applicable
  • Identify improvements to the accounts payable process

Qualifications

  • B.Sc / HND in Accounting, Finance or Economics
  • 3 – 7 years of experience.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Solid understanding of basic accounting and accounts payable principles
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage financial records
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Ability to build good relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Ability to prioritise and multitask
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a broader team
  • Intermediate computer software skills, including Excel and Accounting packages.

  • Accounts administration & clerical works – filling, achieving of files
  • Submission ofinvoices
  • Attendto messages & submissions to tax Office
  • Attend to emails and request from personnel
  • Collate the pensions and forward for payment, subsequently forward the Schedule to their various PFA’s
  • Process the personnel monthly payee
  • Attend to contract holder request from time to time
  • Any other job as may be given from time to time

Qualifications

  • OND/HND in Accounting
  • From 1-3 year work experience
  • Should be able to use Microsoft office
  • Must be very articulated and attention to details.

Qualifications

  • First Degree or Bachelor in Engineering, Business Administration, Management, or related fields an MBA will be an added advantage.
  • Fluency in English and a working knowledge ofFrench is desirable.
  • Proven record of managing large-scale initiatives in Africa.
  • Experience working in international and diverse team environments.
  • Demonstrated background working both independently and with partners to generate the best results within tight deadlines.
