Job Title: Deputy Manager, Mechanical (Power Plant)

Job Description

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager Mechanical – (Power Plant) to join our team at Dangote Cement Plc, Obajana.
  • In this role, you will be responsible for Power Plant mechanical equipment maintenance in our cement Production facilities.
  • You will be among lead team to ensure that all planned maintenance activities are executed efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • To ensure that mechanical maintenance are carried out properly
  • To carry out maintenance of plant’s mechanical equipment.
  • To train subordinates in order to ensure that mechanical maintenance are done timely and correctly.
  • To develop and implement mechanical system and components for Gas turbines / BOPs including modifications and upgrades to enhance performance and efficiency.
  • To conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of Gas turbines / BOPs analyse and resolve mechanical issues to minimize down time.
  • To analyse and monitor Gas turbine performance and improve efficiency.
  • To lead / participate in project related to installation/commissioning/upgrade of Gas turbine / BOPs.
  • To ensure proper housekeeping of job areas and plant in general.
  •  Always follow-up the norms of NIS, ISO 19001-2015, NIS, ISO 14001-2015 & NIS ISO 45001-2018 on regular basis and maintain the records accordingly.

Requirements
Competencies for the job (education and experience required):

  • Graduate / Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 15 – 18 years of experience in GE Gas Turbine LM6000/AERO Derivative / SAP-Material Management / Spares Management / Maintenance Planning /Planned / Preventive / Predictive/ Time based Maintenance.
  • Along with, should have experience in Gas Booster Compressors /Chillers/DM Plant and other BOP of Gas based Power Plant.
