Description

  • Operate HEMVs in a safe, efficient, and courteous manner, adhering to all traffic rules, company policies, and external regulations.

Job Title: Senior Mechanical Technician – Packing Plant

Location: Nigeria
Job Title: Full-Time

Job Summary

  • Perform a variety of tasks pertaining to fabrication, installation, maintenance, repair, and service of mechanical equipment, instruments and structures used within the plant.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the Shift Technicians to identify problematic equipment/machines in the plant and effect repairs promptly.
  • Implement SOP’s for maintenance.
  • Execute corrective maintenance on all assigned equipment/ machines in a timely manner.
  • Assist to ensure safety precautions are observed and personal protection equipment are worn during repairs or scheduled maintenance.
  • Take inventory of working tools weekly to ensure that it matches the original tool list provided.
  • Perform work order repairs, inspections, and adjustments.
  • Replace minor fixtures in the plant machines.
  • Participate in plant safety, health, and environmental programs.
  • Enter data into ERP system (e.g., SAP) for spares and consumables.
  • Technicians should personally clean operating equipment for effective performance
  • Technicians should maintain the tools and tackle properly
  • Ensures quality maintenance as per PM schedule
  • Reports any break down or stoppages more than 30mins to sectional engineers.
  • Carry out briefly- analysis of break down jobs
  • Ensure no break down on groups taken for maintenance until next PM schedule date.
  • Attends to any breaks down within the shortest possible time.
  • Fill the checklist against the job carried out daily and file it properly
  • Ensure to remove all scrap after maintenance
  • Identify potential environmental and OHS hazards

Requirements
Education and Work Experience:

  • SSCE + 10 – 20 yrs experience
  • Trade Test I in Mechanical related Trade with 8 – 16 years relevant work experience.
  • Trade Test II in Mechanical related Trade with 16 – 24 years relevant work experience
  • OND Mechanical Engineering with 2 – 5 years relevant work experience

Skills and Competencies:

  • Basic knowledge of the cement production process
  • In-depth knowledge of the cement packing machines/ functions and procedures
  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment with accuracy and speed
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to pay attention to details
  • Good relationship management skills.

Job Summary

  • A highly experienced and innovative Senior SAP Fiori Consultant to join Dangote SAP Delivery Center in India.
  • This pivotal role will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of user-centric SAP Fiori applications and analytical dashboards, significantly enhancing the user experience across our SAP landscape.
  • The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Fiori architecture, UI5 development, OData services, and integration with various SAP backend systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BTP), driving the adoption of SAP’s modern UX strategy.

Responsibilities
Fiori Strategy & Architecture:

  • Lead the technical design and architectural discussions for SAP Fiori solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and SAP’s best practices ( Clean Core approach).
  • Define Fiori implementation roadmaps, landscape strategy (on-premise, cloud, hybrid), and extensibility frameworks.
  • Provide expert guidance on Fiori security, authentication, and authorization models (Fiori roles, catalogs, groups).
  • Advise on Fiori Launchpad configuration, content management, and personalization.

Fiori/UI5 Development & Customization:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy custom SAP Fiori applications using SAPUI5, JavaScript, XML, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Extend and modify standard SAP Fiori applications using SAP Web IDE, VS Code, or SAP Business Application Studio.
  • Develop and consume OData services using ABAP CDS views (Core Data Services) or SAP Gateway (SEGW) to expose backend data.
  • Implement complex Fiori Elements applications and optimize their performance.
  • Utilize Fiori Launchpad Designer for catalog, group, and tile configuration.
  • Ensure cross-browser and device compatibility for all Fiori applications.

Integration & Backend Connectivity:

  • Configure and troubleshoot SAP Gateway (OData services) for seamless integration between Fiori frontend and SAP backend systems (ECC, S/4HANA).
  • Integrate Fiori applications with other SAP technologies (SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Build Process Automation, SAP BTP services).
  • Understand and implement various Fiori deployment options (embedded, hub, cloud).

Fiori Performance & Optimization:

  • Analyze and optimize the performance of Fiori applications and OData services.
  • Utilize Fiori troubleshooting tools (Chrome Developer Tools, Fiori Launchpad logs, Gateway error logs).
  • Implement best practices for client-side and server-side performance.

Consulting & Project Leadership:

  • Lead Fiori implementation projects from requirements gathering to go-live and post-go-live support.
  • Collaborate effectively with functional consultants, business analysts, Basis administrators, and end-users.
  • Conduct workshops, deliver technical training, and provide comprehensive documentation (design specifications, development guides, test plans).
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior Fiori developers.

Innovation & Best Practices:

  • Stay current with the latest SAP Fiori developments, UI5 versions, and SAP’s evolving UX strategy, including SAP Build (Low-Code/No-Code) capabilities.
  • Evaluate and recommend new Fiori tools, frameworks, and features.
  • Ensure adherence to SAP Fiori design guidelines and best practices for usability and accessibility.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of hands-on experience in SAP UI development.
  • Minimum 5 years of dedicated experience as an SAP Fiori Consultant, with proven expertise in implementing and deploying custom Fiori applications.
  • Deep expertise in SAPUI5 framework, JavaScript, XML, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Strong experience in developing and consuming OData services via SAP Gateway (SEGW) and ABAP CDS views.
  • Proficiency in Fiori Launchpad configuration (Catalogs, Groups, Tiles, Target Mappings).
  • Experience with Fiori Elements and their application development.
  • Solid understanding of SAP backend systems (ECC, S/4HANA) and their integration with Fiori.
  • Familiarity with modern development tools like SAP Web IDE, Visual Studio Code, or SAP Business Application Studio.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills for Fiori applications.
  • Exceptional communication (verbal and written), presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Strong client-facing skills and the ability to lead technical discussions.

Desired Skills (Plus Points):

  • Relevant SAP certifications (SAP Certified Development Associate – SAP Fiori Application Developer).
  • Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) services related to Fiori (Fiori Cloud, Launchpad Service, Cloud Foundry, Kyma Runtime, Work Zone).
  • Knowledge of ABAP programming for backend development and custom CDS views.
