We are seeking a qualified Medical Officer to join our team at DeDa Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work well under pressure, and have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

*Responsibilities:*

– Provide urgent medical attention and treatment to patients in case of accidents or sudden illnesses
– Conduct inpatient assessments, ward rounds, and reviews
– Liaise with consultants and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
– Document patient health reports and discharge summaries
– Attend to emergencies and provide ongoing care to patients
– Diagnose, treat, and prevent diseases and injuries
– Order and interpret tests, and analyze records and reports to diagnose patients’ conditions
– Monitor patients’ progress and re-evaluate treatments as necessary
– Provide prenatal and postnatal care to pregnant women and new mothers
– Perform minor surgery and assist in major surgeries
– Certify deaths and complete death certificates as required

– MBBS degree
– Registration with relevant bodies
– No prior experience required
– Attention to detail, effective communication, problem-solving skills, ability to work in a team, and ability to handle pressure
– Computer literacy
– Display patience

– Document patient observations, behavior, and physical symptoms.
– Assist with feeding, supplying, and emptying bedpans, and disposing of biomedical waste.
– Support nurses and physicians in medical procedures and patient care.
– Transport patients and specimens within the facility.
– Apply dressings, slings, and support bandages under direction.
– Provide information to visitors and callers.
– Perform other ad hoc duties as required.

Requirements:

– 1-3 years of experience in a pharmacy
– Mathematical skills for accurate calculations
– Experience in dispensing drugs and filling prescriptions
– Ability to maintain accurate accounts of medicines (stock level, expiry date, etc.)
