Job Title: Community & Partnerships Lead (Business Support)

About the Role

• Business Support Accelerator is a 12 week Accelerator run by FFA Academy, designed to help new and early-stage SMEs grow their business further & faster.
• We are looking for a Community & Partnerships Lead who will be a key supporter for entrepreneurs in the Business Support community.
• You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a strong network of ecosystem contacts including business support organisations, incubators/accelerators, funding providers and others that provide support that can contribute to business growth.
• You’ll be expected to link our program graduates into these key networks and communities. In addition, you will lead the development and execution of our network of alumni, fostering a sense of community among program participants and creating opportunities for engagement and support.
• The ideal candidate must be a self-starter who can take ownership of the role and work closely with core team members in conceiving, orchestrating and executing projects, and establishing strategic partnerships beneficial to the company.
• The ideal candidate will constantly operate with a strong sense of urgency to get things done and is result-oriented.

Key Responsibilities

• Spearhead and take charge of the community building & partnership strategies to drive engagement.
• The end-to-end management of programs and initiatives in-line to our community building strategy, content framework, target audience and objectives.
• Identify and develop new business and partnership opportunities.
• Maintain positive and strong relationships with other ecosystem enablers.
• Responsible for monitoring and reporting the performance of the business community initiatives.
• Leading the day-to-day community development and retention programs.
• Develop and implement a robust communication strategy, encompassing social media plans, newsletters, and interactive platforms to enhance community engagement.
• Build relationships with investors, mentors, and other ecosystem stakeholders that can support our portfolio companiesAct as the voice of the community, providing feedback and insights to improve products, services or processes.
• Track and analyse key community metrics to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
• Work closely with MEL team to track metrics of alumni businesses performance
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferably in Business / Marketing or other related degrees.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a community relations & partnership role, where you have successfully hosted meaningful programs aimed at serving early stage entrepreneurs and businesses.
• Experience engaging with entrepreneurship programs and collaborating with other ecosystem players.
• Experience in membership or community management/development.
• Experience in partnership or stakeholder management.
• Excellent relationship management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholdersEntrepreneurial mindset that thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is adaptable to change.
• Goal-oriented and ensure KPIs are met.
• Creative, strategic and analytical thinking.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also being a team player when required
• Ability to cultivate long-term strong community/ business relationships.
• Ability to persuade and influence others.
• Ability to travel for long periods of time when required e.g. 2 3  weeks.

Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (OkHi)

Location: Nigeria

Responsibilities

• Own our P&L, driving the business to profitability through growing revenue while minimising costs
• Forecast our P&L with a financial model and set budgets for the business every quarter
• Drive fundraising, working with the CEO to prepare and raise our Pre-Series A and future rounds
• Own business dashboards, providing transparency to the team and driving data-driven decisions that will optimise our unit economics
• Optimise pricing to ensure competitive yet profitable pricing strategies, analysing profitability across products.
• Negotiate deals, collaborating with the CCO to close large enterprise deals
• Manage investor relations through providing regular investor updates and maximising their impact on the business
• Restructure our business entities and accounts to unlock the business for international growth
• Mitigate risks by auditing and managing the financial risks of the business
• Manage your internal and external finance team to successfully execute.

Requirements

• A CFO with 8+ years of finance experience, including in a growth stage startup
• Commercial in your approach to optimise pricing, unit economics and revenue
• Trustworthy so can quickly earn trust from your team and investors
• Strategic to optimise our corporate and accounting structures
• Legally experienced in local financial laws to ensure we’re fully compliant
• Detail oriented to ensure our P&L and budgeting is accurate and up to date
• Data driven in your drive for defining and growing our business metrics
• Self-organised so can handle that there’s always too much to do
• A skilled communicator who strives for proactive and open dialogue
• A coach who is energised by managing and growing your team.

Salary

Job Title: Data Science Lead

Location: Nigeria

About the Role

• We’re looking for a Data Science Lead to support our portfolio startups, with a mix of strategy work and hands-on execution.
• You’ll be working across a varied portfolio of ambitious AI startups (and startups that need to implement AI), with an opportunity to work across different domains, technologies, products and infrastructure.
• You will work closely with portfolio company founders and CTOs to understand their business needs and identify opportunities for using data and analytics to drive growth and innovation.
• You will report to our Head Of Product, and work closely with them to craft, and adapt our theory of support for AI businesses.

Responsibilities
You will:

• Engage with our portfolio companies to support their data science ambitionsLead the development of machine learning models and other data-driven solutions for portfolio companies.
• Spot opportunities to use data and algorithms in novel ways to deliver value and improve processes.
• Work with startups across the Founders Factory portfolio to identify their data science capability gaps.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance the use of data science/ML and have a strategic impact on their overall businesses.

Requirements
You should:

• Have good knowledge of Data Science, Statistical Analysis and Data Engineering.
• In particular statistical learning methods, and the ability to work with large, complex and uncleansed datasets.
• Have good coding skills in a language suitable for data science, preferably Python.
• Be able to switch between hands-on execution and strategic advice, as needed.
• Be comfortable with deploying data services and infrastructure to production systems.
• Have high emotional intelligence and empathy for our founders and their teams as well as for your fellow colleagues in the Founders Factory operations team.
• Be organised with a strong attention to detail and an ability to balance detail with the big picture.
• Have a deep passion for defining and solving loosely defined problems.
• Have good communication and collaboration skills.
• Have 5+ years experience, especially deploying commercial data science/ML projects and working collaboratively with team members.
