The Hon. Justice Innocent Umezulike Foundation was established to honour the legacy of our late father and renowned Judge, Justice Innocent Azubike Umezulike, OFR, FCIRB, FIIAN. Inspired by his works and contribution to the society at large, we are dedicated to build on the foundation that he laid.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Associate Head of Legal, Research, and Impact

Location: Nigeria

Core Responsibilities

Deliver and implement over 30+ foundations annual project work plan/portfolio focused on legal education, humanitarian and charitable actions for people of African Descent.
Develop and implement annual Moot Court Competitions, National Debate Competition, law lectures, webinars, seminars, conferences, and workshops.
Develop and implement executive training programs, mentoring schemes, reading tours, book clubs, campus
chambers, annual essay competitions.
Oversee the publication of HJIUF online journal, book launch and new book publication such as Essays in the Honour of Hon. Justice Innocent Azubike Umezulike.
Build and strengthen a coalition of law students, Student Advisory Board, academic experts and key stakeholders, including volunteers and interns.
Oversee existing scholarships, Identify exceptional new candidates for scholarships,
scholarship awards ceremonies, co-ordinate new law scholarships and grants.
Inaugurate and set up Hon Justice Innocent Umezulike Chambers and Award for best graduating student in Land or Property Law in Nigerian University.
Inter-face, develop and coordinate with the deans or property law lecturers for effective distribution and sale of Law books authored by Hon. Justice Innocent Umezulike OFR.
Enhance optimal visibility of the foundation in the media by promoting the Foundation’s advocacy work in the media and press.
Create student focused social media competitions, give away and programs to generate audience interaction and engagement.
Create sustainable relationships with NGOs, Government and Non- governmental organisations, NBA, Academia, Law Schools, the Judiciary and Law Students.
Provide and lead your own initiative, constantly providing cutting edge innovation, programs, and directions to ensure the foundation stays ahead and forges new pathways.

Core Requirements

Mandatory Education: Law Graduate (LLB), Barrister and Solicitor (BL).
Desirable but not Mandatory: Masters Degree (LLM).
Minimum of 5 years Post Call to Bar Experience in law practice, academia or legal framework.
Excellent Speaking, Presentation, Communication and Organisational Skills.
Extensive Contact within National Legal, Law Academic and Judicial Terrain.

Salary and Benefit

N250,000 – N280,000 / Month Depending on Experience and Core Responsibility.

Requirements

4+ years in Account Management and core business development (experienced in startup, top consulting firms or top tech companies will be an advantage)
Advanced Proficiency in Excel is mandatory, knowledge in other data analysis tools will be beneficial

The Journey

Build and nurture relationships with key external stakeholders, including public institutions, political parties, trade unions, think tanks, NGOs, and industry associations.
Oversee Public Relations, ensuring consistency in messaging across strategic engagements.
Manage crisis communications as needed, ensuring a proactive and strategic approach to reputational risks.
Spearheaded the SSA Impact & Sustainability strategy, leading CSR initiatives that reinforce Glovo’s role as a responsible corporate citizen.
Represent Glovo within an international network of policy professionals dedicated to a socially and environmentally sustainable future.
Ensure compliance with national laws and regulations, monitoring legislative developments that impact Glovo’s operations.
Develop regulatory and legislative proposals that align with and support Glovo’s business strategies.

Requirements
What you will bring to the ride:

5+ years of experience in public policy, government affairs, or industrial relations. We’re also open to candidates with leadership experience in legal & corporate affairs, corporate communications & PR, consulting, or the public sector who are looking for a career transition.
A deep passion for tech and the digital economy – previous experience in a startup or fast-paced environment is a plus.
A strong understanding of the political, social, and economic landscape influencing business and policy decisions in Italy.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills – you’re a natural at building relationships, persuading, and mobilizing diverse groups around shared goals.
Fluency in English, and French is a plus.
Alignment with Glovo’s values.
People management experience is a plus.

As MFC Area Operations Manager in our Dark Stores Glovo Express, you will be responsible for delivering a best-in-class user experience for our customers and leading the implementation of the right assortment, categorization, content, pricing, and promotion strategies.

The Journey

Launch groceries retail stores in your city from scratch
Manage, control and direct Groceries retail stores and continuously improve i) functionality ii) service level in order to achieve our Customer Experience goals while being obsessive about iii) growth
Manage staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other initiatives necessary to enable the Operations plans.
Manage a team of Supervisors with responsibility for each shift within a very fast-paced/ time-critical and demanding environment.
Set the requirements and expectations for Retail store Managers, Supervisors and Pickers.
Measure performance through metrics, providing feedback, and holding Retail store Managers and supervisors accountable for their performance and the performance of their teams.
Be proactive and ensure that best practices are shared across all Retail Stores and shifts.
Work closely with other teams (HR, Category Management, Finance, Facility contractors, Safety Manager, LiveOps…) to create and implement initiatives that will deliver growth of the retail stores
Supervise the maintenance of the working environment ensuring health and safety standards across your stores.
Achieve stock accuracy targets.
Continuously measure and evaluate the departmental goals and all work processes, available daily labor and daily production goals.
Improve quality and eliminate errors, reducing business costs.
Manage and report main KPIs on a weekly basis.

Requirements
What you will bring to the ride:

An impressive track record in a high-volume, fast-paced grocery chain, distribution or logistics environment
3 – 5 years of experience in retail, managing multidisciplinary teams
Fluency in local language and English
Proficiency with SQL
Working knowledge of Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques is preferred
