We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Account Officer

Location: Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and expense reports.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data in the accounting system.
  • Process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions promptly and accurately.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies and resolve any issues related to transactions.
  • Conduct regular bank reconciliations to verify and account for all financial transactions.
  • Investigate and rectify discrepancies between bank statements and company records.
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and budget vs. actual reports.
  • Present financial information to management and relevant stakeholders for decision-making.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor actual financial performance against budgeted targets and provide variance analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies, accounting principles, and relevant regulations.
  • Assist in preparing documentation and providing support during internal and external audits.
  • Liaise with vendors and suppliers regarding financial matters, such as payments and invoicing.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
  • Monitor cash flow and maintain appropriate cash reserves to meet operational needs.
  • Optimize cash management strategies to maximize interest income.
  • Work with departments to control expenses and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes andreducecosts.
