We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Building Management System Administrator

Location: Nigeria

Description 

  • Monitor and operate the building management systems (BMS) to oversee HVAC, lighting, security, fire safety, and other related systems.
  • Ensure System Optimization by analyzingdata from the BMS to identify areas of improvement and optimize energy consumption and equipment performance.
  • Perform routine checks, maintenance tasks, and diagnostics on the BMS and related equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Identify and resolve issues with building systems through the BMS, responding to alarms and alerts promptly.
  • Generate regular reports on system performance, anomalies, and energy usage, and share insights with relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams and technicians to address system malfunctions and coordinate repairs.
  • Respond to emergencies and take necessary actions based on BMS data and protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of system operations, maintenance activities, and incidents.
  • Provide expert knowledge, guidance, and leadership in the development of the BMS.
  • Lead and direct internal staff and contractors in the planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance of the BMS and any system or software upgrades.
  • Run complete fault diagnosis and rectification on the whole range of BMS equipment.
  • Identify potential systems software and hardware issues that may lead to unnecessary failure of services, thereby minimizing risk, disruption, and inconvenience to building users.
  • Make surveys and assess the entire equipment system, including power lines, lighting systems, water supply, drainage, communication (telephone, wifi, etc.), active fire prevention, elevators, and exits.
  • Develop a process of implementing periodical summary reports and monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Resolve client’s and solve clients’ needs during the process of using the building.
  • Execute other tasks as directed by the Lead Facility Manager

Qualifications

  • First degree in Building Technology, Estate Management, Engineering, or any other related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a BMS Operator or in a similar role,
  • Understanding of building systems like HVAC, lighting, and security, and ability to work with BMS software and hardware.
  • Any relevant certifications in building automation or control systems are a plus.
  • Able to analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and make informed decisions.
  • Good communication and documentation skills for interacting with teams and reporting.
  • Familiarity with emergency protocols and quick response to alarms.
  • Collaborative approach to working with maintenance teams and others.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.

  • First Degree in any Criminology, Security Administration or any related discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in aSecurity services role.
  • Experience using relevant technology and equipment (e.g. CCTV)

  • To store a soft and hard copy of all the documents forwarded in response to any request kept in a manner that will be easily accessible, understood, and retrieved if required.
  • Ensures implementation of procedures and that records are maintained and kept in a satisfactory manner.
  • Compilation of existing documents as requested from the ITT documents, creation of requested documents, packaging, and final submission of the proposal.
  • Prints invitation documents for review and stores same appropriately.
  • To update information on invitations received on the Bid Board
  • Identify and close out required action points within stated time frames.
  • Compilation and classification of Input from company departments and subcontractors.
  • Manage the bid preparation process to ensure customer needs are identified and a winning approach is adopted.
  • Produce the quality/technical documentation, in accordance with the client’s requirements, and to a standard that results in as high a quality evaluation mark as possible.
  • Carry out Facility Inspection, gather required data, and enter information into the FIDS.
  • Communicate to the third party via e-mail and follow up to receive input.
  • Liaise with company departments on contract award and transition plan including Operations, QAHSES, Credit Control, HR, Contracts & Procurement, and a transition manager from the Technical department.
  • Execute other assignments as directed by the team lead, Bids & Proposal

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction, Building, or another relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 cognate bid proposal experience in a facility management environment
  • Experience in crafting and preparing a winning bid
  • Candidate must have worked in a facility management company
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills.
