Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul Hospital is a faith based hospital located in Kubwa, Abuja that provides high quality healthcare services to patients. The aim of establishing this facility is to bridge the gap between the formal public health services and the health needs of the people especially those in rural areas. We offer general health and medical services.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Medical Officer

Location: Kubwa, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing diseases, illnesses, and/or conditions
  • Assessing the need for therapies and/or medicines and prescribing them
  • Providing information to patients and families regarding diagnosis and treatment goals
  • Monitoring patient progress and response to therapies and/or treatments
  • Maintaining patient records and accurate information
  • Performing minor and major surgical procedures
  • Prescribing laboratory tests and interpreting the results obtained
  • Conducting face-to-face clinical evaluations on the impact of a patient’s injury
  • Prescribing medication or drugs, including dosage and usage and dispensing medication in accordance with governmental guidelines.
  • Maintaining medical quality assurance and quality control standards
  • Supervising and training medical personnel or trainee Doctors.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess MBBS Degrees with 2+ years relevant work experience.
  • Necessary certifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Good organizational, leadership, and teamworking skills

Responsibilities

  • To perform routine and specialized laboratory tests.
  • Analyze samples and interpret results.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of test findings.
  • Adhere to standard laboratory protocols and safety regulations.
  • Ensure confidentiality of test results and findings
  • Collaborate with medical professionals for accurate diagnosis.

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess a certified BMLS Degree from a recognized institution.
  • Current practicing license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 1 – 2 years of working experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Computer skills: Candidate must have good knowledge of computer
  • Registration: The ideal candidate must be a member of the relevant professional body.
  • Candidates must reside within Kubwa or its immediate environs in Abuja FCT.

Job Title: Nephrology Nurse (Double Qualified)

Location: Kubwa, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Assessing and treating patients with or at risk of developing kidney diseases or problems.
  • Reviewing a patient’s medical history.
  • Administering medication to patients.
  • Assisting with dialysis treatment.
  • Discussing symptoms with a patient.
  • Helping with diagnostic procedures.
  • Perform dialysis procedures
  • Assess, educate, and treat patients with kidney problems
  • Stabilize patients
  • Assist during surgeries or other procedures
  • Recommend diet options to patients
  • Advise patients on a healthy lifestyle and other ways to attenuate kidney disease
  • Establish and administer effective treatment plans for patients.

Qualifications

  • Academic: Relevant qualifications as a nephrology nurse.
  • Professional License: Must have a valid and updated practicing license.
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 1 – 2 years of working experience.
  • Computer skills: Candidate must have good knowledge of computers.
  • Registration: The ideal candidate must be a member of the relevant professional body.
