Job Title: Associate, Corporate Finance & Capital Optimization

Duties & Responsibilities
- Execute inorganic growth plans (M&A, partnerships, etc) of FirstBank Group
- Ensure all Group investments are properly valued and reported
- Prepare capital plan & reports, including ICAAP, for the Group and support implementation of same

- Work with relevant stakeholders to prepare transaction documents, including Term Sheets, Information memoranda, Valuation Analysis, etc and coordinate the delivery of same
- Facilitate the Bank’s credit rating process to achieve set target credit rating
- Coordinate all relevant management, board and regulatory approvals for capital raising corporate finance decisions and investments of the FirstBank Group.
- Project manage corporate finance activities, including tracking post transaction value accretion.
- Provide insight on the financial performance of potential targets and expected value accretion from transactions.
- Prepare reports and presentation to engage the Management Committee (MANCO) and Board of Directors on potential targets and transaction opportunities.
- Carry out any assigned roles as mandated by the HOD or HOU
Requirements

- Maintain business and process configurations on CRM solution
- Develop and maintain indices required to measure health status of the CRM solution
Help Desk Support:
- Support by troubleshooting and solving user or system issues and respond in a timely fashion
- Analyze potential issues and communicate to assess needs and determine solutions for end users.
- Oversee the day-to-day administration, monitoring, and support of FirstBank’s Dynamics 365 CRM Platform
- Manage incidents, service requests, and problem tickets related to CRM, ensuring resolution within agreed SLAs.
- Supervise support offered to stakeholders and business units using the solution
- Work closely with business leaders to analyze business requirements and communicate to developers regarding configuration and customization solutions that meet delivery and project goals and expectations.
- Assist in development and support personnel in resolving system issues, creating business solutions to meet requirements.
- Keep a monthly statistics report and monitor usage to determine business solutions for business recognized needs.
Training:
- Train end users and business units on CRM functionalities, updates, and best practices.
- Instruct new users on the application and train existing users on best practices & new functionality.
- Liaise with Microsoft and other technology partners for technical escalations, feature requests, and support cases
- Develop and maintain training materials and user documentation.
- Liaising with First Academy to deliver training programs

- Monthly update of client product utilization to feed the Asset Holding Report for FBN Private Banking.
- Structuring ideal portfolios for Private Banking clients further to discussing with Relationship Managers, reviewing customer information details and leveraging other First Bank subsidiaries
- Generating mandates on behalf of clients for FBN Capital and other product houses for the purchase or sale of securities / assets
- Generating portfolio reports and account statements for Private Banking clients as required
- Generating periodic reports to meet monitoring and reporting requirements of First Bank Private Banking.
- Updating global position on Private Banking clients to enable effective tracking and monitoring of client relationship
- Ensuring prompt and efficient processing of client mandates
- Monitoring loans booked by the back office and updating clients global position report
- Verifying customer trades via online portal and updating portfolio status of clients
- Monitoring customer accounts and portfolios to ensure that they are well-funded and active.
Relational:
- Maintaining good working relationships with other teams, units and subsidiaries
- Leveraging good relationship with product houses such as FBN Capital, FBN Mortgages, FBN Trustee etc. to ensure efficiency in processing Private Banking transactions
- Developing relationships with research and regulatory bodies to ensure that the unit is well informed and complies with all regulatory requirements at all times.
Others:
- Ensuring the documentation of all safe custody items
- Ensuring securities certification and release of pledged securities
- Ensuring that all client investment transactions are handled with efficiency and timelines
- Escalate of all material, unusual or difficult transactions to Head Portfolio Management
- All other functions as assigned by the head Portfolio Manager, Head Private Banking location and EVP Private Banking
- Processing all investment transactions for all Private Banking hubs noting that the middle office is centralized to serve all Private Banking locations.
Requirements
Education:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
- Master’s Degree in Business, Finance or similar strongly preferred
- Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) / Chartered Accountant (ICAN or ACCA) / Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) qualification strongly preferred .
Experience:
- 3 – 5 years middle office background (financial services) preferred.
