Job Title: Assistant Maintenance Engineer

Location: Nigeria

Vacancy Description
Maintenance execution:

• Executes preventive and plan corrective maintenance work according to plan
• Ensures Mean Time Before Failure(MTBF) is according to plan
• Participates in Root cause analysis for problem solving
• Ensure work order registration in CMMS (hours, materials, feedback text,etc.)
• Closes work order when work is finished
• Responsible for work in the field of measurement and control technology , process control and electronics
• Accompany third parties for legal calibrations and testings
• Participates in work meetings and improvement teams
• Makes suggestions to optimize preventive maintenance plans
• Manages adjustments,Analyzes maintainability of adjustments,modifications and new constructions
• Gives input to updates of technical drawings, documentation,diagrams and settings
• Support operators in changing equipment settings when required (major change over)
• Administrative handling of maintenance activities in Maintenance Management System
• Supports and advises  maintenance engineer on maintenance planning
• Initiates, coordinates and monitors smaller improvement projects (modifications)
• Makes sure, in case of CAPEX projects, all relevant information is handed over, from project to maintenance department, according to standard (preventive maintenance plans, object structure, documentation, spare parts list) and are uploaded on ULTIMO.
• Participates as a departmental specialist in RCA meetings and, if necessary performs further analysis.
• Coaching colleagues in RCA (e.g. 5W) and work order registration after execution
• Decides on spare parts to keep on stock and define min/max parameters.
• Optimize spare parts inventory, cost vs availability as well as standardization of components in consultation with Reliability Engineer

Enforcement of Safety, Quality, Health and Environment:

• Applies and enforces all relevant safety, quality, health and environmental requirements and standards
• Implement relevant QSHE risk addressing maintenance
• Maintain a 5S work areas, follow Good Manufacturing Practices, and ensure Safe Work Practices
  • Identifies unsafe and unhygienic situations and reports them to the supervisor
  • Prepares work permit
  • Perform LMRA before maintenance activities
  • Applies LOTOTO procedure

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned maintenance work(preventive and corrective) on equipment in production facilities and or utility facilities. Keeping and bringing technical equipment in optimal condition.
• Support the Maintenance engineer to ensure planned maintenance strategies are properly implemented.

Requirements

• Minimum of HND / Bsc in Mechnaical
• Minimum of 4 years experience as Engineer in similar role.

Responsibilities

• Inspections: Inspect assigned company machine and equipment according to procedure and work instruction in support of machine efficiency.

• Safety Equipment & strong: Inspects and services safety equipment according to manufacturer’s specification and government&; regulations to ensure efficiency of such equipment at all times.
