GIG Mobility, formerly known as God is Good Motors (GIGM), is a Nigerian transportation and logistics company that has evolved from a traditional bus service to a technology-driven platform.Founded in 1998 by Edwin and Stella Ajaere, it initially focused on intercity bus travel within Nigeria.In 2010, under the leadership of their son, Chidi Ajaere, the company underwent a significant transformation, rebranding as GIG Mobility and integrating technology to enhance its operations and expand its services.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Finance Officer

Location: Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and plans aligned with the organization’s goals, objectives, and vision.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the finance team, including financial managers, analysts, and accountants, to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and risk management.
  • Manage the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads and senior management to develop and review budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Monitor financial performance against budget, forecast, and key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing variances and trends and providing insights and recommendations to improve financial results.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, reports, and disclosures in accordance with accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with financial reporting and tax obligations.
  • Develop and maintain effective internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets, mitigate risks, and ensure integrity and accuracy in financial reporting and operations.
  • Assess and manage financial risks, including currency exchange risk, interest rate risk, credit risk, and market risk, and implement strategies to mitigate and manage these risks effectively.
  • Lead financial analysis and modeling initiatives to support strategic decision-making, investment evaluation, and business planning processes.
  • Evaluate and optimize capital structure, financing options, and investment opportunities to maximize shareholder value and support growth initiatives.
  • Provide financial insights and guidance to senior management and the board of directors, presenting financial performance, forecasts, and recommendations at meetings and presentations.
  • Lead mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities, including due diligence, valuation, negotiation, and integration efforts, to support strategic growth and expansion initiatives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes affecting the organization’s financial operations and performance.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement within the finance department, promoting teamwork, professional development, and excellence in performance.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field; master’s degree in business administration (MBA) or finance is preferred.
  • Professional certification, such as ACCA,ICAN,CFA is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in finance leadership roles, with a track record of success in financial management, strategic planning, and business performance improvement.

Job Title: Experienced Officer

Key Responsibilities

  • Sell bus tickets at GIGM terminals to walk-in guest
  • Make and/or change travel reservations for walk-in guests using the online booking system
  • Create and maintain guest reservation records
  • Resolve service problems by clarifying the guest complaint via phone, email, and in person
  • Forward booking/travelling reschedule request to the concerned unit
  • Serveguests by providing service information related to travelling schedule, fare, & payment
  • Announce arrival and departure information using the public address system
  • Assist in guest luggage check-in
  • Ensure customer complaints & emergency concerns are escalated to the appropriate quarters
  • Adhere to the company’s policy on guaranteed reservations and no-shows.
  • Promote goodwill by being courteous, friendly & helpful to guests, managers & fellow employees.
  • Promote the online booking, app downloads and other products and services of the company to customers.

Qualifications

  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the entire sales process from prospecting to closing deals, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for clients
  • Develop and implement innovative sales and go-to-market strategies for GIGM to drive revenue growth and market expansion
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, industry trends and competitive landscape insights
  • Identify and engage with potential clients and mega event organizers, building a strong pipeline of opportunities
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop impactful sales collateral, campaigns and promotional materials that resonate with target audiences
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations and proposals tailored to the needs of prospective clients
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, retention and loyalty
  • Lead, mentor and manage the sales team, setting clear goals, providing ongoing feedback and fostering a culture of high performance
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitors and market conditions to anticipate changes and adjust strategies accordingly
  • Work closely with the product development team to relay customer feedback and influence product enhancements that meet market demands
  • Drive continuous improvement in the sales process, leveraging data-driven insights and best practices to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA is a plus
  • At least 8 years of proven success in mobility, Travel & Tours and knowledge of event management.
  • Experience in leading and managing high-performing sales teams
  • Strong knowledge of sales models and strategies
  • Consistent track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in CRM software and sales analytics tools
  • Flexibility to travel for client meetings and industry events as required.
