Golden Sugar Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc, and a member of the FMN Group. The company operates one of the biggest Sugar Refineries in Nigeria, with a capacity to process 750,000 metric tons of Sugar per annum.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Process Checker

Location: Nigeria

Job Description

  • Benchmark in-process and finished products by ensuring that products conform to required specification.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all scales at the packing station and control measures are working properly and records are maintained.
  • Weigh accurately according to specifications and ensure that calibration of scales on the production floor is carried out as at when due.
  • Observe and ensure that in-process and finished product on the production line conforms to specification.
  • Ensures that finished product (refined sugar) is packaged according to specification and Quarantine those products that are out of spec.
  • Report/Document all findings on the production and packaging line to Quality Assurance Officer.
  • Confirm the Hygiene level of the personnel in the Packing Station and report all Non-Hygiene Rules. Generate and issue non-conformance form accordingly.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Officer.

Qualifications

  • 5 O’ level credits including Mathematics & English in not more than 2 sittings / NABTEB.
  • OND in Pure & Applied Science / Physical Sciences or any other related discipline will be an added advantage.

Experience:

  • 2 years experience in a relevant field.

The Person Must:

  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess proficient problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Have ability to multi-task and be result oriented.
  • Ability to conduct inspection/investigation on quality deviations
  • Ability to follow up on production/packing processes

Job Title: Process Operator

Location: Nigeria

Pupose of the Job

  • To operate and maintain the boilers and related equipment optimally while ensuring steady uninterrupted % of heat supply at the right quality.

The Job

  • Carryout daily checks on all machineries in the boiler house as authorized.
  • Ensure the feed mechanism of the boiler conform to norms otherwise, escalate accordingly.
  • Ensure smooth and efficient running of the boiler plant and equipment.
  • Check all valves and joints for leakages periodically.
  • Carry out regular cleaning of Boiler house and environment.
  • Maintain safe work environment and conform to safety rules and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Member of the fire protection association of Nigeria, NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA will be an added advantage.
