Summary
- As a Rigger Foreman, you’ll be responsible for supervising rigging teams and overseeing a variety of offshore operations.

Job Summary
- Carries out rigging activities in line with instructions given and in accordance with safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Performs rigging works in accordance with safety and quality requirements
- If certified to do so, carries out the construction of scaffolding structures in accordance with the instructions given by the Supervisor.
- Ensures rigging works are carried out according to the applicable rigging standards and best practices.
- Verifies that the equipment and materials are in good and safe operating conditions and reports any anomalies to the Deck/Rigging Foreman.
- Ensures coordination with the adjacent works to minimize coactivity and avoid unsafe conditions.
- Follows the Permit to Work procedure
- Ensure the housekeeping of the work locations
- During offshore or marine-related activities, assists the marine department during mooring operations as required.
Educational Qualifications
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree
- In possession of a relevant trade certificate (Rigger/Subsea)
- Fluent both in spoken and written English.
Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Knowledge of the various types of rigging equipment (slings, bridles, shackles, etc.) and lifting equipment (cranes, tiffins, chain blocks, bridge cranes, etc.)
- Knowledge of various types of lifting methodologies, including the suitability of each method to specific operational needs.
- Knowledge of risks associated with lifting and associated mitigation techniques.
- Clear communication by radio and or using visual signals, using standardized methods.
- Knowledge of the main risks during the operation activities and safe working, and environmental protection procedures/practices and rules to be applied.
- Knowledge of adequate Personal Protective Equipment – purpose, use, and maintenance.

- The Pipe Fitter is responsible for assembling, laying out, installing, and maintaining pipe systems on steam, fluid, or gas systems.
- The pipe systems may include but are not limited to pipe, flanges, supports, valves, gauges, hangars, and angles.
- Pipe Fitters may work on all parts of the construction or maintenance site including in buildings, outside, and inside structures, i.e. tanks or boilers.
- The work may also include working in underground (excavations) areas and at heights.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Read and understand single-line drawings, double-line drawings, isometrics, shop fabrication drawings, and mechanical schematics.
- Select the size and type of pipe, and related materials and equipment such as support, hangers, and hydraulic cylinders, according to specifications.
- Assemble and install piping systems such as ductile iron, PVC, steel, copper, stainless steel pipe, and black iron.
- Cuts pipe, using saws, pipe cutter, grinder, cutting torch, and pipe-cutting machine.
- Threads pipe using pipe-threading machine.
- Connects pipes using threaded, welded, soldered, brazed, fused, or cemented joints, and hand tools.
- Secures pipes to structure with brackets, clamps, and hangers, using hand tools and power tools.
- Install and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic components on machines and equipment, such as pumps and cylinders using hand tools.
- Install and maintain compressors, pumps, meters, pneumatic and hydraulic controls, and piping, using hand tools and power tools, and following specifications and blueprints.
- Hoist loads using slings, chains, shackles, hooks, cables, and other rigging equipment.
- Test piping systems for leaks by increasing pressure in pipes and observing gauges attached to pipes for indication of leaks.
- May weld pipe supports to structural steel members and operate machinery to lift parts and materials.
- Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and projects rules.
Requirements & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Any vocational training is strongly desired.
- 4-8 years experience working as a Mechanical Pipe Fitter, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read blueprints and illustrate thorough knowledge of pipe fitting procedures and skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and manufacturers’ manuals and instructions.

- The Construction Supervisor is accountable for the planning (FEL2+) and execution of a discrete construction campaign for one or more projects.

- Obtain necessary information from engineers, designers, inspectors, governmental authorities and owners.

- Maintain the project’s Daily Report log and conduct routine inspections to verify production.
