Job Title: Water & Electricity Engineer
Location: Nigeria

Job Responsibilities
Design and Planning Stage:
- Participate in the overall planning of the industrial park and the water and the electricity design of individual factory buildings; provide technical input for water supply and drainage, strong and weak current systems, power distribution, and lighting systems.
- Review construction drawings from the design institute to ensure compliance with national standards, industrial codes, and client requirements.
- Plan power supply capacity, water supply and drainage networks, and fire protection systems reasonably, based on the industrial positioning of the park (e.g., type of manufacturing industry).
- Assist the Project Manager in preparing water and electricity budgets and engineering quantity calculations.
Construction Management Stage:
- Prepare construction organization designs, work plans, and technical disclosure documents for water and electricity works.
- Supervise contractors to follow approved drawings strictly; inspect the quality and safety of piping, wiring, equipment installation, and network connections.
- Control project schedule and cost; submit regular progress and issues reports.
- Identify and resolve on-site technical issues and design changes promptly, and submit them for approval.
- Coordinate interface works between water/electrical systems and other disciplines such as civil, HVAC, fire protection, low-voltage, and process equipment.
- Strictly enforce safety construction standards to ensure temporary
- Power supply and fire protection systems comply with regulations.
Equipment and Material Management:
- Participate in the technical selection and procurement evaluation of major equipment such as transformers, high and low voltage switchgear, pumps, distribution boxes, and lighting systems.
- Responsible for the inspection and acceptance of incoming materials, verifying brands, models, and specifications.
- Supervise equipment installation and commissioning to ensure performance meets design requirements.
Testing and Acceptance:
- Organize inspections of concealed works, sectional, and sub-item acceptance, and final project acceptance.
- Participate in the commissioning and trial operation of the water and electrical systems to ensure stable operation of the power supply, water supply, drainage, and fire protection systems.
- Prepare complete as-built drawings, acceptance reports, and operation & maintenance manuals.
Operation and Maintenance Support:
- Provide technical support for the park’s operation team regarding water and electrical systems.
- Participate in energy consumption analysis and propose energy-saving improvement plans.
- Analyze and troubleshoot water and electricity faults occurring during the operation phase, and provide technical guidance.
