WTS Energy – Our client is a Nigerian company that provides services and builds capacity for the oil and gas industry. Their services include operations and maintenance, commissioning, technical assistance, and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects. They also offer training programs for personnel to improve their skills in areas like operations, maintenance, and safety.

They are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Mechanical Craft Planner / Methods Engineer

Location: Nigeria

Key Responsibilties

  • Ensure Bill of Materials (BOM’s) are linked to equipment preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Assist in populating and tracking project maintenance activities in Operations Readiness Plan
  • Participate in 3D model, layout, HAZID, HAZOP and LOPA reviews, providing pragmatic input through the lens of planning, Maintainability consequence to inspection and maintenance personnel.
  • Provide input in the selection, procurement, delivery, and preservation of spare parts.
  • Validate maintenance job plans and procedures. Ensures correct labour codes and hours are in CMMS covering all required trades.
  • Identify initial equipment and materials to purchase/stock to support maintenance as well as ensure. Maintenance Strategy is fully functional, and equipment/ spares are properly documented.
  • Manages the resource scheduling and smoothing within the maintenance & integrity of offshore operations.
  • Participate in the definition of long-term maintenance planning (includes time schedule and resources definition).
  • Process quality work orders and produce work packs, follow the Work Management system standard, that significantly attribute to safe and reliable operations.

Supervision and Training:

  • Control maintenance activity through IPES (SAP),
  • Preparation of a training program for the trainees’ engineers in the frame of the identified needs and in accordance with recognized methods and strategies,
  • Training on Job examples and directly in contact with the maintenance of the FPSO,
  • Evaluation of trainees’ performances in the craft.

Tasks:

  • To ensure the operation and maintenance strategy for equipment of the craft,
  • Management of craft related documentation: doc. Supplier, etc,
  • Participate in the studies of engineering
  • Participate in the reception of the studies/developments/equipment for the discipline,
  • Assist with site operation as required: detection of the anomalies, diagnosis of the failures, installation of the plans of repairing of the equipment, validation of the technical solutions suggested,
  • Follow up of the trading of salesmen and/or suppliers,
  • Preparation of SD (Shut Down partial or complete) and other projects.

Contractor Supervision:

  • Verification of the management of spare parts while complying with prescribed methods and strategies,
  • Follow up the purchasing of replacement parts,
  • Audit of these Contractors when required,
  • Supervision of maintenance contractor’s preparation and scheduling activity,
  • Technical follow-up of the SMC (Specific Maintenance Contract).

Optimization and Development:

  • Carry out regular audits on site’s electrical installations, follow and work on clearing relevant punch list,
  • Contribute to the SERVICE field to integrate for future developments,
  • Contribute to training collaborators in the disciplines (guidance, training courses),
  • Proposition of improvement in craft maintenance strategy based on Site requests and needs.

Management:

  • Provide relevant Lessons Learned to the respective trade (head office),
  • Contribute to the integration of future development,
  • Manage craft preparation team in their long and mid-term tasks’
  • Contribute to Budget elaboration and Planning’
  • Report on craft activities.

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Equivalent of B.Sc. Engineering (2.1),
  • 10 years of general industrial maintenance, with 5 years assignment in the oil/gas or petrochemical industries,
  • Calm and confident – Remaining cold-headed during stressful situations,
  • Good communicator – Leading Intervention Team with short and clear instructions. Efficiently animating trainings and inductions,
  • Team-player – Maintaining good spirit within all teams,
  • Motivated and Enthusiastic – Positive attitude, determined and thorough,
  • Developing and building teams – Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members,
  • Coaching and developing others – identifying the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills,
  • Conduct trainings/inductions for personnel,
  • Reliability, autonomy, analytical, organizational capacity and leadership
  • Knowledge SAP PM / MM.

Professional Qualifications:

  • Equivalent of B.Sc. Mechanical / Instrumentation / Electrical Engineering (2.1),
  • Computer literacy is required
  • Ability to work offshore under the climatic conditions of the site,
  • Ability to work in a multinational team. Ability to work in a service relationship.
  • Competence/experience in the craft (static and rotating equipment, electricity, instrument),
  • Experience in CMMS (SAP/Maximo) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • BOSIET HUET / Basic Fire Fighting / Basic First Aid / CA-EBS
  • Risk awareness and prevention
  • Working language: English.

Job Title: Junior Cargo Operator

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Line Manager: CSUP

Job Summary

  • The responsibilities include the main General and Special responsibilities listed below. In addition, the OIM or any superior may assign any other tasks to be performed.

Key Responsibilities
General Responsibilities:

  • To assist CSUP acting as Cargo Operator, executing watches in CCR
  • To understand the operation of the cargo and ballast systems.

Special Responsibilities:
As the unit Cargo Operator, he is responsible during his watch for:

  • To be fully familiar with the rules, regulations and work procedures applicable to the task to be executed
  • Monitoring, controlling and logging imported and produced oil loading and distribution on board as instructed by the CSUP or by the OIM
  • Familiar with the PTW System
  • Monitoring, controlling and executing export oil discharge as instructed by CSUP
  • Monitoring, controlling and executing ballast operations as instructed by CSUP
  • Monitoring and controlling the Fiscal Metering Unit operation during the export of oil discharge
  • Monitoring and controlling unit trim, draft and hull stresses
  • Monitoring and recording all safety equipment alarms received in the CCR
  • Radio communication with the Process Deck as applicable
  • Radio communication with the Export Tanker as applicable
  • Radio communication with the Helicopter as applicable
  • Radio communication with the supply boats, as applicable
  • Act as HLO Assistant when needed
  • Boat traffic and supply operations are well controlled, carried out efficiently and safely
  • Maintaining the CCR Logbook and storage tank status records
  • Control people’s movement.

Professional Qualifications & Experience

  • Have approved seagoing service of not less than one year as part of an approved training programme, including on-board training. This training must meet the requirements of the section.
  • A-II/1 of the STCW code and be documented in an approved training record book. Otherwise, the seafarer must have approved seagoing service of not less than 36 months.
  • Have performed, during the required seagoing service, bridge watch-keeping duties under the supervision of the master or a qualified deck officer for a period of not less than 6 months.
  • Meet the applicable requirements of the regulations in chapter IV (GMDSS), as appropriate, for performing designated radio duties in accordance with the Radio Regulations.
  • Have completed approved education and training and meet the standard of competence specified in section A-II/1 of the STCW code and
  • Meet the standard of competence specified in section A-VI/1 paragraph 2, section A-VI/2 paragraphs 1 to 4, section A-VI/3 paragraphs 1 to 4 and section A-VI/4 paragraphs 1 to 3 of the STCW Code
  • Very good English written and spoken.

Certificate Training:

  • Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch certificate – STCW95 Reg. II/1 and Flag state endorsement of recognition
