Job Title: Shift Supervisor

Job Description

  • Shift supervisors are professionals who oversee the business operations of their workplace during their shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team’s workflow and assign tasks for employees to perform during their shifts.
  • Make team schedules and manage the changing shifts.
  • Responsible for training new employees and ensuring they’re knowledgeable about the work tasks, safety standards, and procedures.
  • Resolve conflicts between employees
  • Responsible for monitoring sales figures and ensuring teams meet predetermined targets.
  • Collects and counts the cash to ensure it aligns with the shift’s POS sales data.
  • Monitor stock levels of inventory, resources, and other materials to avoid any delays in production.
  • Display strong leadership skills to manage and motivate employees effectively.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and staff members.
  • Deal with challenging situations throughout their shifts.

  • A Cashier, or Retail Cashier, is responsible for processing cash, debit, credit and check transactions using a cash register or other point-of-sale system in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

  • Interacting with customers, balancing the cash register, determining change, recording purchases, processing returns & scanning items for sale.
  • Processing sales transactions and taking payments
  • Calculating the cost of products or services
  • Calculating and returning change for cash transactions
  • Maintaining adequate change denominations and requesting additional change
  • Answering customer questions about products or services and providing recommendations based on customer needs
  • Cross-selling and upselling products
