Job Title: Welding & Fabrication Supervisor

Brief Description

• Organize, coordinate, and supervise the work of Section Leads and their employees within the Fabrication and Welding unit to ensure an effective and efficient fabrication operation that meets safety, quality, and production standards.

Duties

• Assign work to Section Leads to attain department objectives using knowledge of production processes, company policies, production schedules, work orders, equipment capacity and employee capabilities.
• Readily perceive and effectively respond to schedules and product flows essential to supervising highly productive, cost-effective, quality-oriented manufacturing operations.
• Establish and control procedures to meet production schedules.
• Oversee daily job responsibilities of the Section Leads.
• Recommends and initiates improvements to production processes with the aim to increase manufacturing efficiency.
• Establish and control procedures to ensure production of conforming fabricated assembly components.
• Monitors and controls established procedures to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Ensure an effective and accurate production line that minimizes costs and aligns with the unit objectives.
• Establishes and monitors cost control systems to achieve unit budget objectives.
• Provides training, support, direction and guidance to unit employees to continually develop their work habits, job skills and safety practices.
• Communicate job expectations and performance requirements to Section Leads.
• Ensure good understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings and plan layout specifications by Section Leads.
• Gather and analyse information from Section Leads to identify root causes and troubleshooting issues face on production line.
• Coordinate with Maintenance department on daily maintenance priorities, future maintenance and engineering projects.
• Participate in succession planning for personal growth as well as development of Section Leads and employees.
• Ensure materials are received early by all sections for week plan.
• Run reports in AX/DOLPHIN to track and move material throughout the Departments to support on-time delivery.
• Report the progress of production flow to Production Manager.
• Take up IMS responsibilities such as reporting unsafe act, condition or procedure in the work place, participating in fire or emergency drill at work, participating in incident reporting and investigation when necessary and adherence to Company policies

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent. Welding & Fabrication Engineering or equivalent is a plus.
• Must have 7-8 years of proven work experience in an Industrial/ Manufacturing environment.

Job Title: Production Planner

Location: Nigeria

Brief Description

• In charge of developing effective strategies to increase production efficiency and output.
• Ensure products manufactured are produced in a cost-effective way that meets quality specifications and make sure that products are ready to distribute to customers in a timely fashion.

Duties

• Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
• Develop a production schedule detailing all tasks and when they should be completed to meet predicted completion date based on sales requirement.
• Create a better workflow that uses company resources more effectively.
• Create new initiatives that boost product quality, reduce waste, and increase profitability.
• Liaise with HOD to determine customer requirements on weekly basis.
• Use production specifications to establish lead time of operation (ex: Assembly, Pre-test, Testing, Post-test and Panel Workshop sections) for the guidance of production workers.
• Confer with section team leaders and supervisors to determine the status of assigned jobs if it is in line with the plan.
• Expedite operations that delay schedule and alter schedule to meet target.
• Request/Create job orders on weekly basis and request the corresponding Bill of Materials to be transferred according to the plan from Store to Assembly floor for production.
• Report finished jobs after production to store for consumption and inventory reconciliation.
• Monitor production progress to ensure timely delivery. Identify delays and accordingly adjust schedules to meet deadlines.
• Reconcile the production warehouse and Open Job order ( MO ) on weekly basis for both extra/shortages materials
• Follow up on shortages materials with purchase/stores to get it solved in time avoiding waste of production.
• Evaluate current production processes and recommend improvements.
• Ensure strict compliance with standard operation procedures to minimize waste/scrap.
• Prepare production reports.
• Take up IMS responsibilities such as reporting unsafe act, condition or procedure in the work place, participating in fire or emergency drill at work, participating in incident reporting and investigation when necessary and adherence to Company policies

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, Electrical or equivalent.
• Min. 3 – 5 years of proven work experience as a production planner.
• Strong planning/scheduling experience is required and preferably in a high volume made to order manufacturing environment.

Job Title: Machine Operator Supervisor

Brief Description

• Supervise the cutting & bending section of the production line.
• Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements. Inspect and monitor machines on a regular basis during the entire shift and adjust the speed of the machine as well as load it with materials.

Duties

• Plan and study work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials specification, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances.
• Interpret design specification and ensure that a correct Soundproof is been cut and bend with the correct dimensions while meeting quality standards.
• Document daily production of Soundproof target achieved.
• Program Laser/Punch machine by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tools register offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
• Manufacture metal products using machines that employ laser and computerized equipment.
• Coordinate operation of Plasma cutting machine and Strip pit punch machines.
• CAD/CAM programming for CNC Machines using LANTEK EXPERT, LVD CADMAN and CNC Laser CAD.
• Confirm weekly plan material availability.
• Monitoring consumable usage, tooling list, ensure availability and fit for purpose.
• Modify Soundproof parts and other jobs assigned.
• Prepare for and participate in Inventory control and audit.
• Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces adhere to company standards.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or its equivalent.
• Certified in Precision Sheet Metal Operator (PSMO), Computer Numerical Control (CNC), and/or any other relevant certification is a plus.
• 7-8 years of proven work experience as Machine Operator in a manufacturing/industrial environment.

Competencies:

• Exceptional mechanical aptitude aimed at controlling and operating complex machinery
• Knowledge of safe machine practice standards
• Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)
• Sound technical skills and ability to fix problems with any type of machinery
• Knowledge of maintaining and upgrading different machines
